It would kill me to say no to wine and cheese and I do have lots of cheese in the house atm, so not very MSE to throw it out! Might try to go walking 3 times a week as that really would be a big thing for me.
You can freeze cheese
I'm in a longwinded presentation this morning and intend to think about things further and reach a conclusion by end of day.
Lost 1lb this morningthat's 2lb overall, also went to the gym and did more than I intended...

hmmm... thanks for that useful tip.
(and congrats on the weight loss!)0 -
Congrats on the weight loss, belfastgirl23!!! That's great news.
I am 1.5lbs lighter than on 1 February, which I am thrilled about. I'm also starting to see some differences, and my clothes are feeling slightly less snug. Yahoooooooooo! Giving up sweets for Lent will hopefully help as well. :TGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Thanks guys, the loss inspired me and I did the longest walk today I've done in ages, right across town, about 40 mins at current speed (slow!), used to be able to do it in about 35
but hey glad to do it at all. Just over 2 miles in any case. And I didn't want to go too fast cos I didn't want to arrive all hot and bothered.
So as for lent I have decided to give up cheese and wine. With the exception of when I go away over st pats (when I will be moderate!!) and one family celebration next monday (also moderation!). Wish me luck cos I think it's gonna be a bumpy ride
Well done Tara (and good luck with the sugar) and WBH did you decide to give anything up in the end up?? Oh and Jmcateer I would kill to have lost 18lbs already, don't ignore what you've achieved, it's amazing!0 -
Great news on your weight loss Tara! The changes you're noticing will keep you going too. I can't wait till I get to that stage. I'm trying to break a bad habit by stopping calling in for a coffee before work. So less sugar and less caffeine and will hopefully keep it up after Easter.0

Hi Tara. I really wouldn't worry as it's only half a kg and if I'm anything to go by then my weight goes up and down all the time. Think it's to do with hormones and totm etc. You've being making changes to your lifestyle so it will all add up and will work out in the end.
Meant to ask earlier about how the Wii Fit is working out for you arkonite_babe? I'm strangely starting to enjoy it! And Belfastgirl23, hope the injury has sorted itself out.0 -
It's 1.4kg heavier than yesterday! These daily fluctuations are not good, I should only weigh once a week, I know. But even seeing that has made me decide to eat more carefully today so maybe it is doing me good in a strange way!

I was going by the details in your signature. What I said before is still valid though. I'm learning not to put much value on daily weighing as it can vary sooo much!
Thinking of switching over to using bmi as a measure - what does anyone else think? Mine is very scary though!0 -
