Thanks for the tip nickyalexlocke. I take Ultra KLB6 which I think contains kelp, must check the label...
Good for you with the running! I'm going to go for a run some day this week (although am very busy in the evenings, argh). I'm just about to do some weights. The hoodia stopped me snacking all day but about half an hour ago I got peckish so had a couple of oatcakes. That seemed to satisfy me ok.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

nicky, hoodia gordonii is supposed to suppress the appetite (by tricking the brain into thinking that you're full), the San tribes in Africa have used it for centuries apparently. You can look up research etc online. Anyway, purehoodia.co.uk are doing a 5-day free trial at the mo so I have signed up for it. Going ok so far! It has stopped me snacking the last two days and helped me to eat smaller portions. It's quite expensive (and hard to tell what's real hoodia as there are said to be many cheap imitations, esp on eBay). So my advice is: do some research and/or the free trial before buying!!!

wow im so inspired by all the weightloss, well done everyone!
I actually weighed myself today and im so cross with myself for getting this heavy! Im 15st 9lbs ( im 5ft 9inchs) so im looking to get down to 12st at least....i know i said i wouldnt weigh myself but ive been so good since new years day that i thought it would encourage me,the only problem with that is........i didnt know my starting weight:rolleyes: so for all i know i could have lost 2st already, lol.
Anyway ive done it now and would like to post on here my weight every wednesday if thats ok with you all,i think it will encourage me and i promise not to lie!!!!!
Im struggling with the exercise actually now the weather is so bad i cant take my daughter out in the buggy coz she hates a raincover! I keep going upstairs and forgetting what i went for so thats helping out abit! I really really wish i could afford the gym but its an absolute no no,had to reduce the weekly food bill ect at the moment
Oh a good little tip from me.....hot water with 2slices of lemon whenever i feel hungry keeps my mind of it then i feel abit fuller,im having about 8cups a day instead of tea/coffee or snacks.....and my skin is looking fantastic!

Well done jmcateer & happymummy! Good news like that is an inspiration to me & believe me I need all the help I can get. Wee update - I was going ok in Oct and Nov & had started to lose a bit of weight. Had the cold/ flu thing on & off ever since though & my motivation has taken a nose dive and lazyness has taken over! Might start with small changes. OK 1st change - will aim to have hot water and lemon 1st thing as that helped before.0

happymummy - I know, the wet weather does not make a person want to get outside and go for a walk!!!
Hot water and lemon is something I never do, but lots of people recommend it so I might give it a go.
Peak Physique are doing memberships for £25 a month with no joining fee at the mo, I am very tempted!!! A city centre gym would be handier (near work) but I'm not willing to pay £40 a month and a joining fee! Also, going in the evening would get me out of the house and away from snacking, and I could go at weekends more easily (don't like to drag myself into town at weekends as I work there all week!). I can afford it but gym memberships are not very MSE!! Hmm...
WeeBargainHunter (do you mind if I call you WBH? lol), you've been ill, don't be too hard on yourself - it's difficult enough to stay motivated when we're well, never mind sick! :AGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
