Hi belfastgirl23.
well am losing between 1lb and 5lb a week now. am off work every friday so i plan my next weeks meal plans calculate how many syns it is but i save up most a my syns 4 that week and have a curry or chippy on a friday nite. i go to the gym every tues, thurs and saturday. i also have a cross trainer and a wii fit( would highly recommend) @ home.lol!
i was only losing 2lb a week wen i wasnt using the lipobind and water retention tables so i really do think that without these i wouldnt have as gud a weight loss.
i now only have 3stone 9lbs to lose before i reach my target weight. hoping to have that done by April @ the latest. as am going away on holiday.0 -
Wow dizzie, you are doing very well! I've been messing about losing and gaining the same couple of stone for five years now (although I do keep saying to myself that it's better than just gaining!) - I'm now about half a stone down from my heaviest but I know I feel a lot better for being closer to my lighter self! Still this is a terrible time of year for weightloss for me - busy at work together with cold and dark nights makes for a lot of comfort eating and not enough exercise.
Tara how are you getting on with the lipobind?0 -
Well... my body fat is down to between 28.3% and 28.5% for a week now... so I think it is working! I'm taking KLB6 Ultra too, they were recommended to me. I do feel more energetic and a little lighter... :j

Hi, I would like to join the forum if that is ok. i am a late 40's male and essentially about 5 stone overweight although I would be happy enough to lose about 1 1/2 stone.
I and my DW are thinking of joining a slimming club Slimming World or Weightwatchers.
Think we are tending towards WW as we like the idea of being able to eat what you want as long as you stay within your points level. We are too keen on Chinese food.
Would be interested in hearing others thoughts esp other Men.
Thanks0 -
Hey jmcateer,
Everyone has their own personal favourites. Personally I hated WW, couldnt be doing with counting all those points in everything. I joined SW about 4 years ago, and although I did initially find it slightly harder to get to grips with, one I did I found it much earier to slot into my lifestyle.
You simply choose your red or green day and fill up with all the 'free foods' you like! I'm going back on the 6th as I have about 3stone to loose myself.
Fingers crossed!
P.S first post on this board, please can I join to!!:j Norn Iron Club Member No. 343 :j0 -
It is very timely that this has been resurrected ... I say with a glass of wine in my hand at 4.45 in the afternoon when I haven't been to the gym in a month....
MUST DO BETTER!
Thanks to the newbies who have reminded me about itLet's go for it in 2009

forgot to say that for anyone doing SW, there are some fantastic forms on here which I have recently discovered myself! They have loads of receipes on there if your stuck.
sorry if you already know this!

I'm back too, how timely!
I have been doing ok foodwise but not that great TBH. Body fat is hovering around the 28.3% mark, Lipobind tablets not really working that well considering the price of them! Although I did ok over Christmas and didn't really overeat.
Anyway, I have a goal too - to lose 1.5 stone by the end of May. Should be doable (hopefully)! The last few weeks have been very hectic and I have thought guiltily about this thread a few times, resolving to return in time for the new year.
So here we all are! Welcome to the new posters, it is good to have some moral support. Is anyone trying Nutracheck? I saw they have a reduced membership offer at the mo, could be worth a go. Although I am sorely tempted to join WW or some sort of class, just to have a human being tell me I haven't lost any weight from week to week! Good to see you back again Tara0 -
Hi everyone,
I would love to join you all too! I am 28 and seriously need to loose 3stone! My problem is that i dont and have never eaten vegetables (potatoes, small chopped onions hidden in currys and raw carrot sticks excluded!!) they make me physically sick-its a texture thing-which im sure could be cured by a therapist, lol.
Anyway i have started a fasting diet since midnight new years eve and am only drinking (lots of) water i didnt think id last more than an hour but today im not even feeling hungry:j
I would now like to start only putting good thing into me and im thinking of the cereal challenge eg bowl for breakfast and lunch then a small healthy dinner.
I really need help to stick with this.i want to see my 3 daughters grow old!!!
Thank everyone  i might even be tempted to weigh myself today in boots, lol.
