    The weekend so far:

Friday night - ate a big dinner and had several glasses of wine

Saturday - ate a fair bit, drank more wine, snacked on sweeties - hardly any exercise (bad)

Sunday - only ate two meals the whole day - poached eggs on toast as a late breakfast and a homemade shepherd's pie this evening - massive portion but made with low fat mince so not too bad... ahem! Oh and I've just had 3 oatcakes as a snack. No booze today and walked for about 45 minutes.

So not too bad but not too good either!!! Just measured my body fat and it is 30.4%.

Money-wise, the weekend hasn't actually been too bad. I spent very little on socialising, food etc. This is MSE after all, and I am also trying to spend less! :D

    How's everyone else doing???

  • Not doing so bad here myself either. Made it to the gym on Saturday (my first saturday visit in ages!) and did some strength training which I haven't done since before I was on holiday. I'm still stiff today! I wouldn't say I had the healthiest eating weekend but most of what I ate was reasonably good for me, just too much of it. And wine of course.

Made it to the gym this morning too :) and have got a nice veggie mousakka ready for dinner...fingers crossed will manage a good week. I'm also hoping to stay off the wine!

Good luck to you too Tara

Well done on the weekend gym visit, very impressive!!! You should be really proud. Where is your gym?

OMG, my body fat/pedometer has become my new favourite toy!

    Today's readings:

    Body fat 30.6%
Steps walked so far 6,886 (2.13 miles) - that doesn't include around work building or home as I only wear it outside, it is a bit bulky.

    Food today so far:

    1 oatcake
large bowl of muesli with honey
    2 squares of dark chocolate
    2 Roses
cup-a-soup with 2 slices of white toast

That's it so far, I have some fruit with me for afternoon snacking. And more homemade shepherd's pie this evening! And no bad snacks.

Today was good moneywise, I returned around £55 worth of clothes I bought a couple of weeks ago that I decided weren't worth the money. So today has been a negative spend day! :D

Well done on not drinking, I am aiming for the same this week...

The rest of the day's food:

    1 apple
    2 oatcakes
huge portion of homemade shepherd's pie
    2 oat biscuits

A bit too much methinks, but mostly healthy!

I'm just about to go and make some stew for tomorrow night's dinner, to keep me occupied so I don't eat any more!!

I went for another walk after dinner as I felt so stuffed. In total today I have walked 5.22 miles (not counting around house and work), taken 16,817 steps and burned 288 calories. The pedometer is really motivating me! :j

Just checked my body fat again, it's showing 29.9%!!! I know I am checking it far too often but seeing it just below 30% has given me a little extra motivation. I really should get some weighing scales...

The stew is now bubbling away, that's occupied me for an hour or so and stopped me from nibbling!

This thread is becoming more like a blog for me, sorry if my posts are very rambling. :D

Just checked my body fat again (I know :rotfl: ) and it's now showing 28.9%! Now I know that this is not actually true, but an extra walk in the evening is bound to do me no end of good and I might even shift some lbs! I have a wedding to attend in 4 weeks so that is my new focus.

Anyway! Off to bed shortly, no more eating tonight (well done me).

Just me here at the mo then!

    Steps so far today: 3539
    Miles: 1.09
    Calories: 60.47

No food yet, I was just in too much of a rush to get to work. I'm going to have some muesli with greek yogurt now. I've got homemade soup for lunch and bread for a snack at around 5pm as I'm going to see a friend's new baby after work and can't expect her to feed me!!

  • Hey tara, sorry mad at the minute, busy day at work yesterday then out last night and out at meetings all day today again, just home now and haven't had dinner yet since waiting for DH to get home (tho if he doesn't arrive soon I won't be able to wait any more!) Have made it to the gym yesterday and today (yay) but finding it tough in the cold dark mornings. Eating is less good, I was very stressed yesterday and overeating is always my response :( but managed to be a lot more sensible today. And have the rest of the mousakka for tonight, it was delicious by the way. I had hoped to get a bit of a walk in but no time and it was sleeting which was not very encouraging.

Hope your visit goes well :)
