    DISASTROUS DAY

I had beans on toast for breakfast, one oatcake as a snack, then intended to have lovely healthy soup for lunch - then went and ruined it all in a meeting. It overran and we decided to have lunch during rather than after (when I'd intended to sneak off and have my soup).

You guessed it. Everything was very stodgy and I ate several sandwiches covered in mayonnaise and 3 chicken goujons!!! Oh and a chocolate biscuit. I am very ashamed and feel really bad. I haven't been walking either because of the meeting, gaaaahhhhhhhhh.

I still have my soup so am thinking of having it for dinner. OH is out tonight so I would get away with a small dinner (he would think I was mad!!).

So hopefully something can be salvaged from today...

  • Long day for me today as well and nothing to be proud of. Out on the road for work, fish n chips for late lunch (social pressure thing and not even that nice), not long back home and ended up getting an indian on the way cos I was starving and couldn't face cooking. And weighed myself and have maintained which is not as bad as it could be.

Dunno about you but I do find change of season seems to make it much harder to eat properly....
  • hey tara how's it going?

Not great here, still under a lot of pressure workwise and having to grab a bite at odd hours but did manage to get a good walk in today which helps a bit. I'm figuring october is about maintaining at this rate of going.

    how are you getting on?

Hey ladies, well I'm still plugging away. Haven't been dieting as such but have been having a power smoothie every morning with creatine & d-ribose which help my muscle stamina. Although I'm still not very active outside the house I am able to move about a little more indoors.

We're also fostering a pup atm who is keeping me more active and since starting the NI diet club I've managed to loose 1/2 a stone :D It's coming off slowly so hopefully it'll stay off and because I'm not 'dieting' I don't have to worry about when I eat normally again... I do have to worry about getting couped back into bedrest so need to pace myself a bit.

I hope you all manage to meet your goals in the next few weeks, we'll all feel a bit better about ourselves with a couple of pound off by Christmas

I have been offline for a couple of days, computer broke down. I've been eating LOTS - I've also done at least two hours' walking per day but still. And (worst of all) I just measured my body fat and it's 30.7%! My new goal is to get it down to 25% by March.

Belfastgirl, maintaining is not to be sneezed at - it's better than gaining!!!! Be proud of yourself.

Well done on the weight loss, sleepymy, that's great!!! :T

  • Wow sleepymy that is a good result, well done1

I'm eating plenty too tara and not all of it healthy :( but your exercise regime is pretty amazing, well done! I've not been to the gym all week...but still next week is a new week. I'm doing some night classes and I find by the time I get home again if I go to bed in time for the gym I have no unwinding time at all ....I did manage it last year and no doubt will get back into the way of it again this year - brighter mornings will help too. Did manage a good walk today though and was very lucky to just hit times it didn't rain. Will also have to do some walking for work tomorrow which is good.

    good luck all!

    Thanks for the encouragement.

I borrowed a pedometer yesterday too and walked 3622 steps to work, wow! So I must be well over the 10,000 per day.

Food today has been very mixed, mostly bad I have to say. I'm glad I haven't had a drink all week though. I am going to make a huge effort over the weekend, my 25% body fat target will give me something to aim for. Fingers crossed!

    Good luck to all.

  • Well done on the not drinking - I think I've had a glass of wine every night although dh and I have been having serious (ish!) conversations about cutting back - but it is soooo tempting when I come in late after a long day. But it does have a big knock on effect on motivation to go to the gym which is also not good. And I do think it's harder to regulate my appetite as well when I've had anything at all to drink.

As for the body fat 30% is not bad at all and still within healthy guidelines. But I know what you mean it is good to have a target in mind!

Off to try to have a healthy weekend. Or at least to try to use this weekend to plan for a healthy week....good luck for the weekend, and keep up the walking, very well done!

I've walked for almost two hours today, but have eaten lots and also had 3 glasses of wine. Ho hum... tomorrow is a new day I guess. :rotfl:

Yes, the body fat goal is a good thing! Hopefully I can do it. :T
