No, I am too ashamed! But I am back on the wagon now - just made some soup for the next couple of days and have joined the 'give up chocolate' thread on the DFW board so that might motivate me! Funny, I don't even like chocolate that much and it always makes me feel queasy, so eating it makes no sense. I guess I have been brainwashed into wanting it!

Hey sorry I've not been around much. Did go to donegal and did the predicted eating and drinking too much resulting in major PMS low. So I've decided I need to take a different approach to this thing. I just read Gillian McKeith's book (and I know I know all the drawbacks) which has inspired me to try to focus on what I should be eating rather than shouldn't. I'm suffering off and on from withdrawals from my several cups of tea a day but really enjoying the food. Not that I'm following her plan but just the broad principles of fruit, veg, seeds, nuts etc. Not sure how it will work with being back at work tomorrow and indeed with the weight loss but worth a try I think.
Doing well on the exercise front which is the good news.

Hello!
I did ok today, had my lovely homemade potato and leek soup for lunch and a healthy fish and spuds dinner. And some chocolate (damn). And some toast an hour ago (double damn).
Still it was better than the weekend pig-fest, and I walked for an hour and a half!
:T
That book of yours sounds interesting, is it the original YAWYE book? I think I have it somewhere, must dig it out and read it again...
Well done on the exercising belfastgirl, hope we can get into a good routine after we return to work! Good luck and keep us posted.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Yeah it's the original book, I'm always in early on a trend
I do think in principle it's good and I'm starting to feel a bit more back to normal today, think the caffeine cravings have finally left my system. I'm not sure if the tiredness is just from exercising or if it's something more - I had to really give myself a big shove to get to the gym this morning. Anyway yesterday was a good day - gym, cycling and walking, and was actually in bed for 11. And ate reasonably well.
I had a weekend pig fest too by the way, three course dinners both nights...although it was yummy so worth it.
Oh and I have lost one lb. In total for two weeks not great but better than nothing
Keep up the good work Tara!0 -
I've had Greek yog with honey and 2 slices of wholemeal toast so far today. Butter on toast probably not good for diet but I'm fed up of low fat spreads and am trying to stay away from trans fats!
I have soup with me for lunch with more wholemeal bread - no butter for lunch though.
Must have a look at that GMcK book later.
Gym, cycling and walking, wow! You are an inspiration!
I'm not weighing myself (our scales stopped working long ago) but perhaps I should, just to measure my progress. Although I will know by my waistband!

Oh dear well someone at work brought in cake and it would have been rude to refuse to sample it. I did just have half a small slice though and it was very good but def not gillian-approved I'd guess since it was sweet and creamy. Going out for lunch today and I'm not sure how many sensible choices there are where I'm going. And DH has been hinting heavily about HM pizza for dinner. It is def NOT as easy being back at work!!
Edit should have said I weigh 79 kilos at a height of 5ft 2 which is NOT good. My knees have been aching lately and it's mostly from carrying the rest of me around. Not sure of BMI at the minute but it's def just tipping into obese
And another end of day roundup edit - managed to have soup for lunch with just a scraping of butter on brown bread :j but alas pizza for tea :rolleyes2 although no alcohol and no caffeine. All in, an okay day I think...0 -
I was quite good all day............ until now. Having a beer, ooops but I've had a carp day so
will just have to walk extra hard tomorrow

You've both done well! I had an apple and more soup with unbuttered toast for lunch, chicken and butterbean salad for dinner, but then snacked on THREE biscuits!! Argh.
I'm 5'3" and about 9st9 - might not sound too bad, but my BMI is heading for 25 and my body fat is 31%, which is really alarming! I really have to lose fat. Didn't do much exercise today, just about an hour and a quarter of walking. Need to get motivated to do more intense stuff!
My target weight is about 8st, and my body fat target is 23%. This is what it was when I was slimmer, so I'm aiming for that. So I have a stone and a half to lose. I'm breaking it down into half-stone chunks. Need to get a scales as I hardly ever weigh myself and it'd be good to know how I'm doing on a more regular basis!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
