    Hi doelani and welcome....

I feel your pain - I too was a couple of stone lighter this time last year and I am really really not enjoying the weight gain....life is much pleasanter when you're lighter and I know I can feel the gain in my joints etc. So let's go for it...

I have managed to lose 2lbs altogether now - was hoping for a bit more since I often lose a few extra in the first week or two but my period is due next week so maybe I'm holding onto a few extra :) I am also away for work which is worrying me - that combined with PMS could be fatal to the good plans. I am going to do my absolute best to eat reasonably well and to get some exercise. Wish me luck.

Will probably have broadband so will still pop in to see you're all getting on okay :)
  • Hi all & a big hello to doelani :D. I've got a few stone to get rid of as well.
I think I've managed to lose 1-2lbs :j - my weight can go up & down like a yoyo from day to day but hopefully that's me started on the weight loss journey!

Hate this hot weather - big incentive to lose lots more - life would be a lot more comfortable without all these tyres. I looked into joining WW - bit of a rip off as you have to pay for classes you can't attend. Wouldn't mind if I could use their on-line service but us Norn Iron folk can't because the south don't have that service & we're blocked from joining the UK site:(. Thinking of looking into other on-line services. Has anyone heard of any?

Arkonite - I'm only starting down the salads road this year so really looking forward to them. Don't like all the preparation though so will maybe try to prepare double so it'll do 2 days (not sure if the vitamins will be lost though?)

Belfastgirl - spotted this WW link about eating out - maybe it'll help while you're away? Despite not being able to join the full WW site, there's still some good recipes etc that ARE accessible.

    Anyway good luck everyone!

Thanks WBH - actually eating out isn't so much of a problem this time since I'm staying in an apartment and living on M&S salads (yum!) it's the comfort eating that you do cos you're away from home. The welcome pack contained two mini biscuit packs - not any more :)

But did get a walk in so not all bad

    How u doing?
  • Very tempting NOT to post when I haven't done so great. Anyway, have started the salad season in this house, also drinking more water, & having hot lemon water 1st thing. Munching on v bad snacks a bit too often though & doing zero exercise apart from a short walk to/from work.
    Hows everyone else doing?

I managed almost 3 litres of water yesterday due to the heat

Honestly, some of the buildings I was in yetserday I don't know how people survive in this weather.

Anyhoo, my diet has gone bang for the next while due to me having surgery today. I'm all bloated and feel like a beached whale. :(

Will be keeping up the water intake though as I'm as dry as a flip flop in the sahara :rotfl: :rotfl:

:oHi everyone, I haven't been on here for a while - for obvious reasons i.e. eating like a horse and diet out the window. I'm really pleased for all you strong-willed people who have lost weight - well done to Arkonite-babe who is clearly doing very well. A couple of months ago I posted about a wedding I had in May and a new dress which didnt zip up the back - well, wedding was last week and I wore a different dress which I have had for about 6 years - it was v nice but required me to wear a pair of M&S Magicknickers - I was very impressed with them - held me in the whole day and weren't uncomfortable - mind you, they are not a good idea if you are planning any romantic action as they are v v ugly! Anyway, I am inspired as ever by you guys so I will climb on the wagon again tomorrow morning and see how I get on from here.

    Anyone fancy resurrecting this one?

I don't much fancy it but boy do I need it. another couple of lbs on and only 2 tops that fit me properly. And a holiday coming up that I have to be a stone lighter for - it's september so I'm not planning a crash diet ... just eating less rubbish and getting off my rear a bit more.

    Anyone else still in?
