Hi guys, I've hit a brick wall, never mind a plateau in my weight-loss bid - I know this sounds horrible but it makes me feel a wee bit better when I see a lot of us have been struggling - how selfish of me - think it just makes me feel less guilty. I am so busy at work and stressed out that I don't have time for the gym and whilst trying to cut down on eating, am travelling for work so much at the minute, that I have very little control of what I eat - as soon as I typed that I thought "of course you can have control of what you eat" so I am just going to have to try a bit harder.
Keep up all the good work now that you are all back on track and I will take inpiration from your successes.0 -
have started ww again and in 8 weeks have only managed to shed seven and a half pounds, and in the same amount of time one of the girls in our class has lost an amazing 21 pounds!! I don't exercise much other than walking but have heard pilates is very good if so anyone recommend a good dvd please0

Is anyone else ruefully eyeing their waistline and this thread and feeling guilty??
It feels like every time I get a routine going these days something knocks me off again. I'm away a good bit both for work and for pleasure and my gym routine is all shot to pieces. Also having to work earlies and lates which isn't helping. But NO EXCUSE! Or at least I can make the excuses but my trouser waistband does not accept them.
Anyone else??0 -
phew ... and i thought i was the only one.
i am going through stress and frequent travel with work as well, but i can't even tell you that's a reason for my not sticking to my diet.
it's really difficult to explain, this last few weeks I have been willfully ignoring my conscience which is telling me (along with my tightening waistband - reckon I have put on a few pounds) that I need to get back on my diet.
i really cant afford to put back on all the weight i have lost, so i have gone through my kitchen cupboards tonight and chucked the fattening stuff out. Not very money saving i guess but my waistline takes priority at this point.
Let's give it another go - make a commitment to post on this forum at least once a week - good or bad?
I think it would help me knowing that i need to 'report progress/lack of'0 -

I think you're me!! Except I haven't chucked the fattening stuff
I dunno what it is that when I feel stressed I eat and eat - comfort eating I suspect. Haven't made it to the gym at all this week eitherOK you're right we start again here and now. I have a meeting about two miles away and I'm going to walk to it!
Good luck to you as well!0 -
Hi again, well done to everyone who has started up again! Double well done to those who kept on going regardless! :T Hope those that were unwell are improving.
OK here goes.
Feeling really guilty. Have put the weight I lost back on, & then some. Exercise - what's that? Going to try to start all over again.
Here's my plan:
Hot water & lemon in the mornings, 1 min on the exercise bike, then porridge.
Lots of water all day.
Use the stairs at work.
Snacks will be yoghurt drinks - (yoghurt in a pot is too much like hard work). Also fruit, or oat biscuits & houmous.
Soup for lunch
Lots of veg for tea along with whatever I'm having - I read somewhere that veg should make up half your plate.
Need to figure out how to fit in more exercise - any ideas? I hate walking by myself & OH is worse than me.
Trying to figure out if having this thread as a sticky at the top is a motivator or demotivator - ah well, at least it occasionally makes me feel guilty! :rotfl:0 -

Can we rename the the club/thread title then please - might just have some effect on me if I see this every day: "Fridge Pickers Wear Bigger Knickers Club". :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Or we could name it " Put a padlock on my gob to stop me eating so much" club???
: D

Back again indeed with the bigger knickers (or at least holes appearing in all my old ones because they have more of me to stretch around
) anyway a food heavy but also at least exercise heavy weekend for me. I appear to have dropped about 1lb from my heaviest which is miraculous
Anyway I didn't make the gym this morning (9am meeting) but did get out for a good walk at lunchtime and on the way to the meetingand have had a very sensible food day. For the first time in weeks I look to be on course for my 5 a day
I HATE being this heavy. My clothes don't really fit any more and my legs hurt from the effort of carrying my body aroundtime to get seriously back on track.
Hope you're all managing to take advantage of the lovely weather too0
