I'm up on 80kgs  which is as heavy as I've been in years.
Managed to get out for a good solid hour's walk this morning but came back and had eggs on toast, although at least that does fill me up pretty well so I'll not need more than a snack before dinner time. Planning to get in a bike ride too if the weather holds. And have a load of ironing to do tonight as well which is a bit more exercise.
Hope you have a good day Arkonite. Anyone else wanting to join us?0 -
:oHi girls, I don't know what I said in my last post but it seemed to bring the thread to a halt - sorry. Anyway, if I can offer inspiration to anyone - I have finally got my act together and have lost 5.5lbs with WW over the last three weeks - it has been tough - I am on 17 points a day and cannot "afford" to spend any points on a drink. I have been continuing to eat out with my friends as that is my social life but I have been sensible when I have been out and avoided dessert etc., I really want to stick at this until the end of August - I reckon another 8 weeks should see me back to my goal weight (if I stick to it) - that seems like a long time but looking back at two months doesn't seem very long ago at all. So best of luck to everyone - it's a lifelong battle.0

Wow Sassy well done!!
An okay day for me, again away from home working which is always a bit of a problem but I managed to get in a load of walking, a lot of it with my heavy wheely bag. Alas one piece of pie and one piece of (excellent!) cake later I think I've used up my gained calories. I did have a sensible lunch and dinner thoughjust the other stuff on top. Oh and the quarter bottle of wine as well ...although I do still think it was probably a weight loss day over all (I'd estimate about 90 mins walking with bag and another 30 or more without).
Oh and Sassy the words you said that put me off were 'stop eating and get off your lardy a**well okay you didn't exactly say that but it's what my conscience said when I saw your post so I had to put it to the back of my mind fast ....:) Don't take it personally ....

Can I join? I have about a stone to lose and need some encouragement! I've started a free online food diary and am being brutally honest in my recording - ouch! Too many snacks and probably too-large portions are the main problem. Apparently I'm allowed 1400-ish cals a day without exercise, which seems generous enough if I don't snack! So fingers crossed...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

HI Tara and welcome.
second day away from home and sitting in meetings - no exercise and hard work which is not a good combo. Eating out tonight as well. Keep your fingers crossed that I can hang on in there
**edit afterwards*** well 2 glasses of wine weakened my determination and I did have a chocolate pudding. At least it was gorgeous which makes it worth the calories.
Back to the grindstone tomorrow!!!!!0 -
Thanks for the welcome belfastgirl23. I enjoy reading your posts - you all have a good attitude and keep at it (if at first you don't succeed etc).
Today I walked about 4 miles, BUT ate a Twix earlier which I am annoyed about. I ate well apart from that. I had wholemeal toast for breakfast and a big salad for lunch, and snacked on fruit, so that is positive eh!! Must enter them into the food diary to calculate my calories (will include my dinner which I am about to have)...
*back*
OK, it came to 1399 - and 1632 with exercise! I've 233 to spare after dinner so will have no more to eat. Only way to lose weight that really works!
Calories in < calories out
This will be my new mantra...
p.s. it is very hard to eat well when away from home, good on you for making the effort and logging on here too!

I've not managed anything in the way of counting calories. But it doesn't feel like too bad a day, I ate a reasonable amount of fruit and did manage to get a solid hour's walk in with my bag. Which means I'm back home - yay!
I'm just finishing off a major piece of work, it has to be done for Friday so that is when the new life kicks in properly...
and cheers for the kind words tara...alas it's necessity keeping me at it rather than will power0 -
The counting cals thing probably won't last and I don't manage to do it every day... it's just something to give me an idea of how much I should be consuming.
Well done on the fruit and walking. I have eaten a ridiculous amount of crap today, am too ashamed to enter it in the food counter!!!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
