I've spent the day in the garden digging so hopefully that has helped a bit. Weighed myself last night and I'm back to my pre christmas weight. Would still like to loose about another 2 - 4 lbs. Will keep going as I have been and hope that I can get it shifted in the next few weeks.0

That's great - 1 less to lose - wish I could say the same
Well done on the walking & eating today :T I really need to take a leaf out of your book! Have done a bit though - baby steps - don't want to send my system into meltdown!0 -

Wow that's really great arkonite_babe! Well done.:T
Any top tips you can pass on (except gardening - aside from health issues, I seem to kill every plant I even look at0 -
Tips? in my case it was portion control and trying not be naughty and nibble after tea. I also stopped drinking coffee after tea time, so I'm not sure if that helped? Mind you that was purely to help my rubbish sleeping pattern! Started taking rooibos tea instead.0

Hi guys, good to hear from you. I'm still doing okay on the exercise front but having to exercise very strong willpower to not just go and eat some rubbish now. Had a tough day for various reasons and feeling a bit down and cross and stressed. Makes me a great companion
Anyway I have already overeaten a bit today since I was at a lunchtime do where there were oodles of nice sandwiches and pieces of cake for afters (and yes I indulged!). Now debating whether I have the energy for my night class...
Oh and I need to post an affirmation I WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OPEN A BOTTLE OF WINE TONIGHT!!
There, I can't do it now
Hope it's going better with y'all!0 -
Thanks for the tips arkonite (:beer:substitute healthy alternative)
Nibbling is my downfall - will try to do better but tomorrow (i've already eaten a bag of "good" crisps - 99 cals, 2% fat. Don't tell anyone).
Well, maybe I'll be inspired by you lot & drink lots of water tonight every time I'm tempted.
Belfastgirl23 - hope you get to your class - in my experience in similar circs, I always feel better afterwards. Anyway by the time you get home from that, there'll not be enough time to drink a bottle of wine so that's that wee problem taken care of! Good luck. I've had a bit of a rubbish day too - just not enough hours & I'm wrecked now. However, it did start off well as I walked where I would have normally taken the bus. :T

I resisted the wine...
And wee bargain hunter you were absolutely right, the class went really well and I was very pleased I went...cheers for the moral support.
Off to have a virtuous supper hopefully0 -
Hi all, well haven't managed to resist the wine tonight but one glass only!! And I did do enough exercise to earn it.
Not a great day today but have steered clear of comfort eating (apart from a little 40p portion of brie from M&S!). Quite proud of myself really ... went into M&S starving and ended up getting stuff for a mozzarella and tomato salad which seems waay sensible compared to some of the other stuff I have been known to buy.
Wee bargain hunter, Arkonite, how u both getting on today?0 -
Hmmm... not really sure how I'm getting on. Missed breakfast & ended up with a coffee & scone. Recovered slightly by having a healthy small stew for lunch. Didn't get home till late and I was starving - ended up deciding to call at the shops for a microwave meal - it was salmon, new pots & greens & had no additives but quite high in saturates. Managed to avoid alcohol this evening - that was a real struggle as with the lovely weather, I'd been dreaming of an ice cold cider since lunch time! Drinks were mainly water & herbal tea. No exercise. I had a banana on standby for a snack but didn't eat it.
Hmmm... just re-read what i've written - I'm now very sure how I've gotten on
OK deep breath - will start again tomorrow. I WILL eat healthly, I WILL be GI friendly, I WILL do some exercise, I WILL eat more of my 5-a-day. Mind you, I'm so knackered, all I feel like doing is sofa surfing tomorrow. Daytime TV here I come!
Belfastgirl - sounds like you had a good day - :T . Glad you enjoyed the class. Arkonite hope you're getting on ok too.

Good so far for me over the past few days, it's been easier with the warmer weather as I tend not to eat as much if that makes sense? I'm getting a wee bit bored with salads now though, will have to find an alternative.0
