Celyn - that is sooo clever

Owens - your little girl is scrumptious - best wishes for her birthday

Well dd18 has her nintendo ds and i made her do all the running around for it - she turned up at w*rk and recognised some of the people waiting outside my court - it turns out that she knew one of the bail applicants and that he'd asked her out a while ago - can't go into details but she made the right decision in saying no.

well that's it - the rest was boring

    have a good evening
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Evening all,

Thought that I posted earlier but now seem to remember that I didn't finish post!

Owens....can I borrow that beautiful little girl just for a hug, please

Taplady....had a hysterectomy when I was 42 in 1987 as I had cervical cancer, one ovary removed also as there was a cyst, have never been sorry but you do need to take care of yourself in recuperation...I have rarely used a hoover since...got out of the habit. I was lucky in that my darling DD1 at 16 took over the house for the whole summer and cajoled and bullied the others into doing their share.

    Happy birthday Little Tinker

Csarina...glad that the noise has gone and that you are looking after the cystitis.

Snowy...good luck with the job search

Can't remember a single thing about the earlier posts....head not good to-day, but hugs to all in need or want

Happy Birthday to those with birthdays today.

Had an awful day at work with my boss, she chewed me out over all sorts of stupid things like leaving my cup on my desk overnight when she doesn't leave me with enough time to grab my coat before I leave. She knows I have to leave in time to pick my dd up from school and always seems to leave "important things" until 5 minutes before I am due to go.!!

I managed to grab some great bargains at Mr T though, I got there as they were reducing the meat to half price. I got 3 of those roast in the bag chickens that I can't resist for £2 each.

    Hello dear friends

Been really busy today so not even looked at you apart from LittleT - happy birthday.

Well we had our team meeting this morning and Big Boss nodded and winked for me to go into Ladies with her for the low down on the upcoming big appointment following our Head of Centre retiring. Much as I love our other two incumbents, I would not appoint them! They are trying to score points of each other and not conducive to a good work ethic. They don't have the experience! One would stay in the office and do the paperwork (but still throws dummy out of pram as just 28!), the other wants to be out in the field and doesn't see that paperwork should be an issue (dummy again)! I think time to bring in new external appointment. Not much fun for us clerical folk but I do think best so long as strongest candidate picked!

Well, end of an era today. Had fish tank for 18 years (passed on from friends going to HK in 1990!). Fish have been rehomed and I am in the last stages of taking it down. It was totally shot. Cookie the hamster look very doddery too so maybe no pets before long.

    Love and hugs to all.

    GB xxxxxxx

    PS

Had cabbage tonight so the w*** problem might continue!

I haven't read thread but can gather perhaps a hysterectomy. I had the worst ever periods in my late 40s. Had a total hysterectomy and surgeon said get overies removed too as they can cause cancer. Did it! Was in hospital for 4 days (a total nightmare) and then convalescent at home for 12 weeks! DH took 10 days off initially to make sure I didn't do kettle or stuff but caught me out ironing 12 days later! Go with the advice! Important!.

    Evening all.

I've read through the thread but I'm afraid my memory is like a sieve today, so hi, have a hug if you'd like one, and I think I saw a few cakes around, so Happy Birthday someone!! (sorry...)

Hectic day at work today - shoving mortgage rate changes through left right and centre. Honestly, I wish my own mortgage would be dealt with as quickly! (I refuse to take a mortgage out with any company that I deal with at work. The temptation to alter it would be too much, and its not worth getting done for Fraud!)

DH made beef stew and dumplings for tea, and I've just whipped up some cookies. Must own up to the fact that they were from the last of our betty crocker packets though. (White choc, and yum.)

WM & TD are both on, DH is off to do the washing up, and you never know, he might even sweep the floor. (hahaha)

Enjoy the rest of your evening, all.

    Hurray it's Friday! :j

    Double hurray it's the half-term holidays! :j :j

Guess you can say I'm in a good mood then, but I'm also shattered. My student finished today and she was a lovely girl but having a student teacher to train, observe etc and still teaching and looking after the LOs is double the workload. Anyway she did very well and the children will really miss her.
We all broke up to day and we've had our usual lazy tea from the chippy (with the generous discount as DH used to teach the owner's son). :rotfl:

DH is going away to Poland for 2 nights next week with his mates. It's his annual mini break with flights cheaper than a taxi into town and to a destination where the beer is very cheap. So he's building up his DCRs at the moment (Domestic Credit Rating) by being very helpful eg doing all of the dishes, emptying bins, making cups of tea, bathing kids etc So I'm making the most of it! :rotfl: Actually I don't mind him going as it does him good. He has such a stressful job and he's a smashing hubby and dad so I reckon he's earnt it. This is his 4th time away (one a year) and so far he's been to Poland , Germany and Latvia. He tries to do some sightseeing but to be honest most of the sights they see involve visiting the local pubs!:D He isn't a huge drinker and after the first day he's usually had enough and ends up drinking juice.
So for the 2 days he's away for the girls and I will spend our time shopping, eating pizza and watching DVDs together and cos he's away they often climb into bed with me.:D
I've just scoffed some white chocolate mice. :D I used to love them when I was little and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them for sale in Asda. I did buy them for the girls, but I couldn't help myself as they just melt in your mouth...;)

Hope everyone has had a good day and big hugs to anyone needing one.
    Have a good evening.
