I'm getting increasingly worried about the whole Lloyds TSB thing. We have completed the CCCS enquiry form and they have proposed a DMP which we are happy with. The next step is for us to email back and wait for our welcome pack. Once we have agreed and sent signatures to CCCS what happens? Do we start paying from the next month or do we have to wait for all the creditors to agree to the DMP before we start paying it? A further question would be if we do start paying straight away and eg Lloyds take a few months to agree to the DMP what will happen? We can't afford to pay the DMP and the Lloyds on top of that. What if Lloyds start proceedings against us? Can this happen?Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160

CCCS will send you a pack eventually which contains the date they want you to send the 1st payment. You will not be waiting for everyone to agree as CCCS will still be making payments to them on your behalf whether they agree or not.

Hi everyone Lloyds CC are such a pain im getting really fed up with them now .
My two loans and overdraft was accepted straight away when i went onto DMP but the credit card they said the payment was too low so they rejected it .CCCS said not to worry they have been sending my payments to them anyway .
Every Saturday is the same for me it has happened 3 weeks in a row i get a letter from Lloyds CC saying they have never heard from me and i must think that the debt i have with them is low prioty ,i must contact them immediatly so they can deceide how to deal with my account .
Every week i ring them and have the same conversation they say the have never heard from CCCS and the ask me to contact CCCS and tell them to ring Lloyds .CCCS have sent my income & expensiture 3 times now to them because i have asked them to do so ,they are also getting my payments from CCCS but they still say they have heard nothing from them .
What should i do ?I am back and forth from Lloyds & CCCS saying the same thing .Lloyds CC say if CCCS rings them they will accept my DMP but CCCS dont ring them all they do is resend my income & expenditure .
Is this normal as to what creditors do ? It is early days yet on my DMP Lloyds have only received a few payments from me ,cccs seemed to think when they have received more payments they will accept .
I wondered if anyone could put my mind at rest with my query as i am not sure what to do if anything about Lloyds .If i ring CCCS on monday they just say they have sent my income & expenditure just ignore them .Any ideas0 -
Carlos I will pm you with a letter I sent Lloyds when they were making out there was no contact. You can edit it, ignore it or use it I don't mind. Can't post it here too much personal info!
PS if you do use the letter remember to put formal complaint at the top and sent it recorded delivery. Also if you have a read of the following link
http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/consumer_credit/oft664.pdf
see if there is anything else they have done and put that in the more you have on them the better. I am pretty sure I forced Lloyds into getting them to do what I wanted so give it one last go see how it goes. Phone calls are wasted with them one department does not speak to another.
Good luck and if there is anything else I can help you with just shout!0 -
Hi Carlos, I had similar problems with LloydsTSB, but with my overdraft. They kept denying contact had been made even though they had actually responded to Payplan at one point. I started calling them in the end and stating that I had sent all the letters recorded delivery. That changed their tune although it took a few more calls before I finally got someone helpful that actually sorted things out for me. They are hopeless, but it seems they do have 1 or 2 good staff!
I shall still be complaining as if they had sorted it the first time I contacted them it would have saved me over £400 in charges and interest.
To everyone else - I hope I'm not tempting fate, but this week has been a good week. No nasty letters at all and I finally got Lloyds sorted. Only 1 creditor to respond now (First National Tricity Finance) with whom I have 2 accounts. They aren't making any fuss at all at the moment so maybe they have just accepted and not bothered to tell anyone. If you are just starting out on a DMP then it really does quieten down after a while and even the more stubborn creditors come into line when they see regular payments. Only Amex have sold my debt - to RMA - but despite bad reports elsewhere, they have been very good with me. They phoned twice once to confirm the amount that would be payed and then again 20 minutes later to ask me just to make a token payment just so something would show up that month. Been quiet since.
So thanks everyone for the support on the odd occasion I've been worried - Reading everyones experience has been so helpful and reassuring.LBM : March 2008

hope everyone's coping as best as possible.....I'm still stressed....only citi financial not accepted now...no doubt they'll pass that one to 1st credit too and we'll have another battle with them.
it is helpful to read other peoples experiences, and know you can get support and advise on here.
still contemplating changing from Payplan to CCCS......is it easy to change ?0 -
Hi Skibadee,
I had Citi financial aswell - They were bad with me on the phone, so I sent them the "stop calling" letter which they did comply with. They were one of the last to accept but they did eventually.LBM : March 2008
