Cheques are fine MSMOO!
I have a quick question - I had an RBS credit card, this is now my fourth month (doesn't time fly) on my DMP, and I haven't had a statement from them. They have defaulted me, so is this normal?

Hi,
All my creditors have continued sending statements even those who defaulted me. I'd question this with your Debt Management Company. You have to be able to keep track of interest and charges.
One other thing intrigues me...if you've managed to pay 25% of your debt since January why are you on a DMP? Tell me to mind my own business if you want.

Have just come across this site.
106 pages long - but will try bit by bit to get through it!
Am not very computer literate so would appreciate advice on how to join in and access it readily.
I have a DMP with CCCS.

Confession time!! I've cheated a bit really. The original figure included a student loan (now deferred), and an account that is in dispute! I've left it like it is to remind me of how much debt I really had. Once the deferrment is over, and if the account turns out to be enforceable those figures will be added back on! I suppose I just wanted to be on the optomistic side!vandermerwe wrote:Have just come across this site.

Wonder if anyone can help me?
Ive just recived the information through the post from cccs and hadnt realised they set the figure there and then from what you put online! Ive got a couple of dilemmas now.
1. I think my tax credits will be stopped soon and they are a big chunk of the dmp payment (£172 of a £335 payment!) Wont it be a hassle cccs sorting out payments to our creditors only for them to have to be reduced a lot in a month or so?
2. I get my tax credits weekly but our first dmp payment is due 1st june. How will i give them the tax credit money if i dont have it yet?!
I thought about saving the next 4 weeks but we had a lot of high bills this month and i need it for the weekly food top up/public transport.
3. I pay provident weekly out of my tax credits too, do i stop paying them now and contact them with a token payment or just keep paying them weekly until the dmp starts?
Thanks for any help, hopefully i can send the information back to cccs today or tomorrow'They only had one cow!'0 -
Hi
Good morning everyone. Hope you are all ok.
Just checking in to say everything still going fine and to wish you all the best.
moneysavingmumofone. Could you not try to contact CCCS and try to change the date your DMP starts to the 1st June. I know it is a pain and you want to get started but perhaps then you will know more about tax credits and stuff. Have not read back as I have just got up so dont know how far you are with your DMP and my advice may be totally wrong but it was just the first thing that came to my head.
Have a good day all.
I have only just got up because I have been on nights and not because I am lazy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
