Ive just recived the information through the post from cccs and hadnt realised they set the figure there and then from what you put online! Ive got a couple of dilemmas now.
1. I think my tax credits will be stopped soon and they are a big chunk of the dmp payment (£172 of a £335 payment!) Wont it be a hassle cccs sorting out payments to our creditors only for them to have to be reduced a lot in a month or so?
2. I get my tax credits weekly but our first dmp payment is due 1st may. How will i give them the tax credit money if i dont have it yet?!
I thought about saving the next 4 weeks but we had a lot of high bills this month and i need it for the weekly food top up/public transport.
3. I pay provident weekly out of my tax credits too, do i stop paying them now and contact them with a token payment or just keep paying them weekly until the dmp starts?
Thanks for any help, hopefully i can send the information back to cccs today or tomorrow
MSMOO,
1. stop worrying
2. Remember that CCCS is on your side
3. Call CCCS and tell them everything you have told us here. They will work it out with you.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all ok.
Just checking in to say everything still going fine and to wish you all the best.
moneysavingmumofone. Could you not try to contact CCCS and try to change the date your DMP starts to the 1st June. I know it is a pain and you want to get started but perhaps then you will know more about tax credits and stuff. Have not read back as I have just got up so dont know how far you are with your DMP and my advice may be totally wrong but it was just the first thing that came to my head.
Have a good day all.
I have only just got up because I have been on nights and not because I am lazy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks andy. It took me enough courage to call them the 1st time, think ill get oh to do it later'They only had one cow!'0 -
Hello everyone, haven't been around for a few days and would like to say that I have been using my time constructively, but not sure that watching daytime tv counts as "constructive"
Have actually been trying to have a little break from thinking about money, although that is rather difficult bearing in mind I still need to find a new job  There is a bar/waitressing job going in a littlee brasserie in town that I go to a lot - it is only part time and min wage, but for the next few weeks it's better than nothing (and prefereable to signing on - but seeing Doc tomorrow so will ask his advice). Not that I've actually applied for the job yet anyway
Very quiet on the creditor front I have to say - RBS told me that they "needed" to default me/us before they would accept DMP. No idea if that is correct but haven't had any hassle from them so I assume that is the procedure they are following. OH had default on Egg card - wonder if they are doing the same? Nothing from Lloyds - tho statement this morning said they had the right to offset - would be useful if there was any money in the account I suppose!:D
As I've not been working I have completely lost track of dates and just realised it is the 1st today so need to make DMP payment via transcash. This is stupid question but how? It says they don't accept cheques so do I have to take cash into PO or can they debit my debit card? If it's cash then will have to wait till Saturday as money is in DH's account.
Hope everyone is ok?

hi
you will be able to pay transcash by switch card, thats how i have always paid it.
I have switched to direct debit now and cccs can even take the payment on the 10th of the month as well. This is better for us. Dont worry if you have not paid it today tommorrow will be fine. I was always advised by cccs to pay before the 10th of the month.
good luck with your dmp.
take care
bye for now0 -
Nice to see you Lu,
I made my first DMP payment with a debit card over the phone.
Glad to hear you are sounding positive and don't worry about the defaults, they're just bits of paper!

Well a quick update. Rang round all my creditors to tell them May payment will be reduced coz of car costs. They were all fine about it except...
CL finance who checked security details and then asked for my mobile number - I declined. They asked my work number - I said no, no personal calls at work. They asked for the name of my place of work - I declined and asked whether I could speak!!!! They were fine though and said they'd note the reduced payment.
The only other ones with an issue were Mint loans who said it would break the agreement so it would need to be re-agreed when in June when payments go back up. Mint cards were fine and said it wasn't a problem
So at the moment it doesn't seem like anyone minds that they'll get less this monthIf they were all that nice before the DMP then I wouldn't have got in such a pickle would I
Anyway... the even better news is that the car passed!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

CCCS said as I'd been on it a year, hadn't missed or reduced any payments at all and as this was a one-off cost/circumstance issue and not likely to be a regular occurrence that it should be fine. (but I didn't really believe them :rotfl:and to be honest, I'm still going to half-expect a letter or phone call until June)

Hi everyone i have not been on for a while i hope everyones ok .All is quite on the dmp for me which is great .
I am feeling really quilty today because i have been spending alittle money and i am terrified of slipping back to my shopaholic ways .Being on the DMP plan means i have got abit of spare money every month which i thought i could start saving but instead this month ive spent it .
The sun has come out so i bought a few tops for myself its always the case when its coming summer i feel like i have no clothes i spent £50 on clothes (i feel so bad .
My two daughters needed school shoes as they have been waring boots for school so i had to buy them that was £30 .
I suppose i just need morale support i wondered does everyone else on DMP treat themselves like this .Everything has been paid but i was suppose to be starting afresh and saving .0
