Hi Skibadee,
The legal action will be a CCJ, but I'm not worried about it, having read lot's of other posts and they'll hopefuly just look at my I & E and set the payment the same as my offer.
Many others have said on the board that they can't have what I haven't got! Hopefully it won't get that far I've written again stating my details and they'll continue to get my DMP Payments.
It is after all only a threat at the moment and it's just an automatically generated letter.
Citicards are one of my creditors aswell, but have so far been very quiet.
Lloyds are just annoying me. I visited the branch and spoke to there financial difficulties helpline and they told me to call Payplan. I've asked them 3 times now to contact Payplan and given my reference number but they insist I call so that "they may help me". LOL. As their latest letter just says "Please contact us IMMEDIATELY", I've just replied, "Please refer to my previous letter IMMEDIATELY". I'll give them another month then I shall start to complain.
I'm doing my best and they just aren't playing nicely.
Hope you get Citi sorted soon.LBM : March 2008

Hi all , just want to say a great bit THANK YOU to you to Rayday. You have been very caring and given me a lot of support . I have been pm ing you like mad lately and you have always been so helpful.
I have sent my paperwork to CCCS cancelled my dds with bank, got a new CO OP account opened and sorted all incoming money to go in there. Things are starting to feel a bit more organised now. Have had 2 letters so far mentioning possible defaults, Tesco cc and LLoyds cc but i was expecting them. My lloyds loan Asda cc and GUS catalogue are not late payments yet, Grattan payment 2 weeks late but heard nothing yet but they will all have copy of CCCS letter from me with token payment by Monday so i expect phonecalls will start anyday now. Its great knowing there is so much support from everyone on here and thanks to you all.
P.S. can i have a number now please Rayday lol0 -
Morning all,
I had a response from CCCS about the Credit builder pre-pay card thingy, it's below;Dear xxxx,
Thank you for your query.
This Creditbuilder card will only give you a good rating with this particular creditor, not the ones on your Debt Management Plan. We would not however, close your plan if you were to go ahead with this but we do not think it will do you what you are expecting it to.
Kind regards xxxx,
Correspondence Support Counsellor
Which is quite interesting. If it's the case that it only builds credit with that creditor then surely the blurb on their website is misleading, isn't it? It does say that they'll inform Experian after three months payments and then every month after that. Surely if Experian is one of the most used CRAs then it would have an impact on your whole credit rating? I really don't understand how it works!:undecided
On the other hand - it's good that it won't jeopardise the DMP should anyone choose to go for it. I think it would be better in the last year of the plan though.:T (That is, if it actually does improve your rating!)
Sooooooo confused! :rotfl:LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Just given in - have car tax and MOT due next week and my wages in all likelihood won't clear till Wednesday coz of payday 25th being Friday and the time it takes to clear over the weekend.
I have no money at all - absolutely nothing. Just put the last in the petrol tank. OH owes me £6.50 which I need to buy HIS lunch stuff and he's moaning about it.
He keeps telling me he has no money to contribute if the car fails the MOT, told me not to reduce my payment to CCCS to cover it and yet would expect me to pay for his and the kids bus fares as well as my own if the car was out of action  I need a new number plate at the very minimum and don't even have the money for that
So I've given in and rung CCCS and they were really nice and have reduced my payment next month so I should be able to cover tax and MOT costs just about. They said as I haven't missed any payments and this is an irregular expense it shouldn't cause too much of a problem but to let my creditors know.
Now I'm worried what the creditors will say/do and what OH will do when I tell himworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hmm you have all raised good points about sub boards.
I wonder if I should be brave enough and email or contact Martin? what do you think?
Makes me chuckle actually because on the main DFW board there is uproar at the thought of a sub board for diairies.
The advice for DMP is a bit different from that of DFW living but I am not sure he will think it a good idea. Then again it may help people if there is a DMP board with it showing in google searches etc.
The alternative would be this thread as a sticky but it would grow so quick.
My brain hurts thinking!0 -
Hi All,
Well, some good news at last. 2 months in and Lloyds Credit Card, Egg, HFC, Littlewoods, Barclaycard and Capital One have all accepted my DMP according to Payplan.
Still getting loads of hassle off GE Money though and Lloyds for my Overdraft.
Still, it seems like things are starting to settle - I'm hanging in there not taking calls anymore (they've had ample opportunity to speak to me sensibly and haven't taken it) and seeing what happens. So far GE Money are the only ones to get really heavy and threaten legal action. Quite happy if they do as I don't have my own home, so they can't get a charging order.
Just relieved that most of my creditors now seem to be accepting.
Going to my friends for the weekend so no more post to worry about until monday :T
GE money with us roared a lot made noise and I honestly thought they would never accept then in the end they did but quickly passed it onto what I have to say is one of the nicest DCA I have experienced! The first contact with this DCA was just keep paying please but change the details to this and we will review in time (18 months passed they never did! and they were the first to accept when I wrote recently and they were only getting 13p more!)
As for Lloyds you know from my experience eventually they do accept it did take me 9 months but I got my own way, interest charges refunded etc so keep the spirit there. I know it feels so settling with all of them accepting etc and until then feels a bit limbo.
I am the same since my payment reviews won't properly "settle" until they all say yes - now I feel like a Peter Kay sketch - one where he does the old nana at the wedding who leaves at 8pm to get "settled"

You are more than welcome and have number 181.
I am so glad you are gettting there. Remember if you don't like the calls -change your number! It was one of the most liberating things I did pretty sure it played a part in companies accepting quickly because they do count on telephone calls as successful as getting higher payments off people.
But others in here have come up with some successful coping mechanisms like only answering set times of day etc, caller ID so don't worry one step at at time!0 -
Here's an idea. Why not make each letter a thread of its own and lock it (if that can be done) then edit the top post to add links to letters as they are added.
Each thread title could start with "DMP Letter..." and then a description of its purpose.
eg
DMP Letter CCA Request
DMP Letter DCA complaint
DMP Letter starting DMP sending token payment
etc0 -
Good Morning all
i know what you mean rayday,,,its been on my mind how to work it out too
the only thing i can think of is we all start our own threads and have it linked to the main one so everyone can see our individual processes and where we are at and then that might help and guide newbies.
If you ask Martin and the rest of his gang how we can set it up, it will give more impact and answers to newbies and ourselves too when we find we are at a stumbling block in our own endeavours, if that makes sense?
off to make me a coffee,,,need caffeine,,.lol
also awaiting on court case today with bated breath, have only sent in my halifax and now ned to send in the latest charges request , also virgin, barclays, and alliance and leicester, need to get my act together for the credit card refund requests too,
so involved in the dmp these are the next things i need to tackle, hope im not too late
ciao for now MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

newlywed!
Really helpful to others that knowing that in an emergency you can temporarily have smaller payments.
I think I live in my hubbys bad books at the moment, worringly its life stuff rather than money that puts me there.
I think you understand the "spirit" of DMPs a bit more from past posts its all about affording living now - but I can understand both of you wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But as we have seen it is there and we will get there!
Good luck and if you find a way that is "shareable" to get out of hubbys bad books pass it on0
