As for identities, I did used to have company names and balances in my sig and I just thought one day it was a bit daft as if you put my username in google it does come up with a few sites etc. At the time I was getting weird phonecalls from First Plus - have nothing to do with now the account is clear but I had been in the press with stories to help others not do secured loans.

Well hello!

Feeling a bit more up today - although no idea why as actually having a bit of a mare of a day!

Phoned G E Money today as had letter about arrears but flippin India couldn't understand what i was saying at all and she just kept saying "so you want to make a payment?" Err "NO!!!"" Gave up and hung up.

Then called EDF to set up new D for gas and elec and I have to £55 (elec - was already paying that) and £50 for gas (up bt £25.00!) Then phoned Anglian Water to set up DD for water - they want £42 per month as only spread over 10 not 12! My budget with CCCS is £25 for gas and £35 for water!

The rang Northern Rock - oh joy! Advised her I had sent Notification of DMP to them - guess what? They couldn't find that but strangely did have the PO i sent in the same envelope! :mad: She then wanted to know if we worked and what we did. I said " I don't think you are entitled to that information" and she said "it helps us decide whether to accept the dmp!" Anyway wouldn't tell her and said CCCS would give them a full breakdown of i/e figures. She also wanted "up to date contact number" so i gave her my old phone number !:rotfl:

Anyway, I'm kind of watching my budget dribble away bit by bit at the moment as OH salary will be decreasing slightly as he starts a new job in a couple of weeks ( I did actually give the lower figure to CCCS but don't know if it will be right or not) I have phoned them to explain and they said it's fine but obv to make sure we are not short. Apparently they do a three month budget review if you complete he budget online (which we did) so will manage until then. Although by then it may all have gone t*ts up anyway what with the job situation. Anyway she advised me that proposals were sent to creditors yesterday - can't wait to get my welcome pack as I'm itruiged to know how the pro rata payments are worked out.

Think I'm depressed again after writing that all down so off for a cup of tea and peice of cake

Good that you're up. Maybe it's because you're doing something about the debts rather than just hoping they will go away by magic (been there - done that etc etc)

Have you spoken to the water company and specifically asked to pay over 12 months and not 10? They might be ok with it. If you explain that 42 is more than you can manage but 35 is ok they might agree.

Bottom line with them is the same as everyone else... if you don't have it, you can't pay it. I would be tempted to find standing order details for them rather than DD and set it up for 12 payments. What do others think?
