Hi all, I posted a couple of weeks ago about Apex Credit Mgt taking over one of my debts from Goldfish and was worried because they sent a letter saying 'we may send a rep to discuss this with you'. I was reassured by some of you saying 'don't worry, it's just a frightener'. You were right of course! They have accepted the offer but didn't bother telling me, only PP. See, things do get better. Welcome all you newbies - you've done the right thing! ps I am addicted to this board..............0

Afternoon all, I've just been catching up and it sounds like you had a great party last night! :rotfl:
It made me laugh anyway, which was good because it's official - I'm depressed! Went to see doc who has signed me off and given me AD's. Only now I'm thinking maybe I was a bit hasty as:
a)only second day on AD's but feeling more teary than usual - usually "just" miserable!
b) my boss is not replying to my emails and I think they want to fire me!
c) i don't think I will be getting any sick pay other than SSP
d) if i get fired and have a history of depression - who will employ me?!
e) first payment to dmp due on 1 May, which can just about pay but after that....
Bl00dy hell, seem to have got myself in right old mess
Oh well onwards and upwards (maybe I'll gallop Whoopie!) Thanks for the Pm by the way (although the second one made me cry!) Had call from CCCS today to confirm a couple of things so creditors should be getting proposals soon. Got PO's yesterday and sent token payments off too - felt rather sorry for the lady in the PO who had to do 18  seperate PO's (not to mention the huge queue behind me!
I wonder if there is anyone on here who owes more money than I do - it was actually more than I thought in the end (isn't it always?) but far too embarrassed to write it down - by rights I should now be able to drive to the airport in my porshe, fly to my private villa in Monte Carlo on my private jet (well maybe not quite!) with a minion to carry the Louis Vuitton luggage!!! Funny how i'll be lucky to get a lift to the airport to fly on easyjet (other "no frills" airlines are available!) to anywhere offering accomodation for £1 per night - I've got laugh or really will cry! although as i said to someone earlier, I could be laughing on the other side of my face soon! (what DOES that mean exactly anyway ??!!)0 -

Hi Loopylu,
If your income does get reduced (hope it doesn’t) Give us a call ASAP as we would need to change it in your budget to make sure you can afford your monthly payments.
Good luck with your DMP and if you have any questions please give me a shout!

We have now had acceptances on our latest offers from some of our creditors via CCCS so looks as if we are safe for a few more months.
CCCS_Sarah may I bend your ear?
Over the past year our income has fluctuated a lot, all downwards.
In order to keep on paying our monthly payments to CCCS, we have been using the money we made following our house sale last year. After Capital Gains Tax was paid, there was just over £20000 left. We tried to get F&F settlements from our creditors but could not get them down far enough to pay them all. Our monthly payment is £400 and our debt is £69000 ish now after 2 years and after RBOS took all they were owed from the house when we sold it (over £21000). We had been hoping to settle with everyone but there wasn't enough left after they took their chunk.
Do you think we are right to carry on with the payments they have accepted but funding them from the lump sum (its in a high interest account and we just transfer money as its needed)0 -
Thank you Sarah. But I am really worried that if we don't offer our creditors a big enough sum they will not accept it. We are supposed to be paying £1,497 which would give us a DFD of around 2015. But if we lose my income we would barely be able to afford £500 per month which would mean DFD in about 20+ years! Can;t imagine our creditors would accept this? Anyway, trying not to panci as hopefully things will work out.
Thansk for the pm's with messages of support - you lot are fab! x0 -
Great, I've got Andy galloping into brick walls and Loopy crying!
Loopy, our debt is BIG! And the monthly payments we make to the creditors seem tiny in comparison to what we owe, but it is all we can offer at the moment. So, stop panicking! Grrrrrrrrrrrr ....
Andy, don't worry, I turned right once but lived to tell the tale!*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0 -
Loopy when we started our DMP we were paying £5 each to 21 creditors on a debt of £84000!! So don't worry.0
