Thanks Whoopie, but unbeknown to me they've been adding this interest since I started my DMP well over a year ago. I never knew because they've blocked my online banking and don't send me statements as they only send statements to accounts which are "in credit". She slipped up by saying that she wouldn't be able to do anything about the interest anyway cos my account had been in arrears (NOT MY BLOOMING FAULT!). Arrgh. I`ve had a worrying time with CCCS,set up a standing order and paid it on 31st March, been online and been checking my DMP plan, only it`s not been showing my payment as being paid!!
Rang them up last friday was told at first it`s not been paid, they then put me onto the payments section, they said it was on their system and not to worry,2 hours later I get an e-mail saying it`s NOT been paid.
Rings them up again told it`s ok it`s on the system and will show up on my online plan on Monday or Tuesday at the latest,Tuesday comes and goes still not online, was told that if it wasn`t paid in by the 10th that I would have to resend the money to pay my creditors.....yeah like I have a spare £500 lying around!!
Anyway at last this afternoon it`s turned up!:j
Also had a few credit card statements today and they are all still adding interest....so far out of 12 creditors 1 has stopped interest."Life is short even in its longest days".0 -

Sorry you're having a bad day smilealot :grouphug: I'm just popping in for a sec than my OH is treating me to a drink  God, I need it, I've sent off my token payment letters and my OH just took a phone call from Morgan Stanley:mad: so I guess they got my letter then...
Don't feel up to talking to any of them and am just hoping I get my DMP properly set up in the next few days - have sent back my signed agreement to CCCS but I know they'll have tons to process for all the people who need help - just need to be patient but it's difficult.
I know there's no magic wand and it's going to be a bit rough the next few weeks but reading the threads and especially the "real names" of everyone has made me laugh:rotfl:
Nearly the weekend and I just hope I can get through the next few weeks, i'm counting on you lot to keep me cheery - now where's that drink?
Hampsterpoo if I ever feel up to speaking to them on the phone I would love to use your lines :rotfl:LBM: 31.03.08 - Debt at 31.03.08: £38000  (not including student loan)Member #172 of the DMP Mutual Support Club 'Spendaholics Anonymous' Thread Member No 550 -

Hi RS
CCCS are pretty on the ball. I only returned my agreement on Tuesday and they phoned yesterday and sent proposals out to my creditors (all 20 of them  ) yesterday as well. Bit scared now but it had to be done.
HP Loving your replies re phone numbers! If these people were half way human we wouldn't have to employ such dirty tricks!:p
SA - sorry you had such a rubbish day - as Whoopie says I'm sure they are breaking the rules in what they are saying/doing - tell them you will lodge an official complaint if they carry on and see what they say - failing that set HampsterPoo on them - literally would be good!:rotfl:0 -
1st Credit who have taken on my debt with citi cards are pestering me and asking me to see if I can borrow £5000 off a friend or family or take out a loan or pay by credit card.....I have told them no to all.....gave me until next monday to see if I could raise the money...they say they are not prepared to accept my payment of £28.14 through Payplan.....they seem to be asking me to get into more debt in order to pay them!0
-
1st Credit are the ones giving us problems also. They have actually had a writ served on my OH. We are waiting to hear from the court if they have accepted our offer to keep paying monthly although it is a higher figure because of our review. If not my OH is going to have to face a Sheriff in the court. We have asked for a time to pay order and hopefully this will be allowed. It's a horrible time at the moment - almost five years into our DMP ...0

Thanks Loopy appreciate the information and advice, i've sent off my agreement - completed online debt solution then posted back agreement on Monday, just a bit worried incase CCCS need to speak to me before they take any further action - as you can imagine I don't want to answer the phone at the moment - _pale_
I'm hoping if CCCS do need to speak to me they'll leave a message and I can ring them back straight away...just scared to answer the phone at the moment..
Thanks everyone for the replies and hope you all get a good night's sleep :ALBM: 31.03.08 - Debt at 31.03.08: £38000  (not including student loan)Member #172 of the DMP Mutual Support Club 'Spendaholics Anonymous' Thread Member No 550 -

I have not had a particular good month with everything that as to go wrong as done! We've had to find money for my youngest daughters birthday, my older daughters Prom Night dress and shoes! We did save a little for the 2 but were way off the mark with what we had to pay out! Plus to cap it all it's my wifes 40th birthday tomorrow, a special occasion and I feel absolutely gutted that I have'nt been able to get a decent present and go out for a special day with her _pale_
She says she understands and that the kids come first but I feel so low at present because of this. Our friends want us to go out for a meal and drink but we have made every excuse under the sun because simply we cannot afford to! I have been so tempted to obtain money from other sources but have stopped myself to even go down that line! Payday for both of us is next Friday otherwise it would'nt have been so bad!
My saga with NPower continues! I am applying for their 1st Step arrangements so will see the outcome with that!
To finally cap it all my engine management light on my car keeps coming on when I start the car which signals some engine emission problem or censor problem! I am trying to hold out until payday so that I can get it checked out! Fingers crossed!
The thing is the more and more I talk to people and listen to their debt problems I fear for them also! They are all using their cc's and overdrafts but seem oblivious to the final outcome of spiraling debt! But who am I to preach!
I just thought I would offload on here as people would understand how I feel!
Tomorrows another day. Hope everyone else is having a better time of it!"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination."Debt free in 4 years  _party_0 -
Good morning
Feeling ok today after a bit of a fractious evening re "my job" - see my thread from last nite:o
Anyway, the point is i hated the job which is half the reason I'm off now so I don;t know why I care what they think anyway, EXCEPT that I have bills to pay
Fed up banging on about that now anyway so on to the debt stuff.
Still waiting for my welcome pack from CCCS but in the meantime had a call from MBNA today. Why is everyone in India? I don't have a problem with this per se, but it is just rather annoying when they ask you what your situatiion is, you tell them, then they say "sorry, i didn't understand that!" it's very frustrating! She wanted to know why we had contacted CCCS when previously all our payments were up to date, so i explained that this was because we had been drawing money on cc's to pay cc's. She then asked if we could pay the arrears of £190:rotfl: ! And when I said no, she said so "what are the CCCS going to do about that!" TBH tho she wasn't aggressive and so far I haven;t had any nasty calls (but only a vey few of our creiditos have our phone number - some have OH mobile but it's a work one and he's changing jobs next week - result!) Oh but he needs to get a new phone
I need to go shopping but after my posts about job last nite (sorry, that again) I'm a bit scared to leave the house!
One question (no two) How do I know if PO's have been cashed or don't I? and do the CCCS tell me if and when my proposals have been accepted (or not- eek!) or do the creditors tend to write to you directly?
Hope everyone has a good day
