Welcome AnnieLeeGo on Hester Tell [STRIKE]the silly cow[/STRIKE] nice lodger, in a vain effort to get her to move out soon. Like today!!!:D
Managed to get sc on before I left, and managed to get the cat out. Lately he has been sitting on my work tops in the kitchen (when no one is around.) and peeing on the floor, so we've been putting him outside before we leave in a morning. Sorry if that sounds cruel, but I can't stand the fur and the pee, and I'm allergic to him. He's lovely and all that but I don't know what else to do. You wouldn't think he was a cat, the amount of fur he loses you'd swear he was a woolly mammoth!!!
Oh well, guess I had better get some more stuff done so I can go home.
bye for now.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Home life is a tad mundane at the moment so I am looking to take myself off to do a course soon which should be good:D
Have a stack of ironing to be done, I will do that tonight I think, dinner tonight will be Quorn pieces with pasta and some garlic bread.
Yesterday I was working in Wimbledon and I came acroos a lovely deli where I just had to buy a cray fish salad and some olives came to about £8 ishGood job I don't work there everyday:rolleyes:
Hope everyone is happy and keeping well x0 -
 Permission to have a quick rant please?
DD1 has an inset day today so has a friend round for a general craft/play/veg out day. It's a friend she's known for about 7 years but I've never really "gelled" with her - I've tried, and as I'm an adult I've always been nice. DD wanted her and friend to make their own lunch - fine says I, everything's ready for them but they're too busy crafting so I make it instead - not a problem......I check with her - HM burgers ok? I normally put some grated carrot and chopped onion in - is this ok with you? Yes she says! HM rolls made especially, lovely and soft, burgers turned out gorgeous and she just sat there and looked at it - she gingerly pulled the burger to bits - pulling out all the onion and carrot, nibbled on a bit of meat and said "I don't think I can eat this - it tastes of ..............(wait for it)..............MEAT!!!! - Is she a veggi? No. (She didn't even touch the roll as it "didn't have seeds on like burger rolls should") GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  I'm just flabbergasted - when I asked what burgers normally tasted of to her she said....McDonalds in a very patronising way. She's now left - without saying goodbye or thankyou and she will never darken this door again.
Rant over - thanks for reading (or ignoring if you were sensible)....I'm off to shovel a large banana muffin in my gob (didn't even bother offering her one)
Other peoples kids are 'orrible!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Tru - I figured it was a guinea pig (or piggymouse as my family have always called them) though a real pig would have been cool too.
To add to the pig conversation, I was given a pig for my confirmation present in 1993 - a vietnamese pot bellied one called Huxley. He had got too big for the house he'd been living in before so he came to my parents farm. Huxley was fab. Unfortunately he apparently died of meningitis, while I was on holiday with school in 1997. Just in case my parents lied i didn't eat pork for a year after that, just in case! If I ever get my dream house I'd get another.
Not much going on here today. Went up to the docs this morning to get a prescription for exercise. Reduced cost sessions at my local gym for 10 weeks. Hubby also got one from his docs, so we might motivate each other to go. Mentioned how I felt yesterday and its just something going round.
Hugs to all who want or need them - special ones to Jackie O. I second the eye patch suggestion..!
Hope everyone else is ok,
Metherer

Hi Everyone
(((((((((hugs))))))))))) to loads of you today.
The sun hasn't frazzled my brain yet 'cos I knew it was a Guinea Pig.
Done a clean up, the downstairs tiles needed wash so DH did that. Just been for our daily walk, getting easier and further day on day.
Take care DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
pooky - can't believe the lack of manners! will you tell her mum??
No - I've never really got on with the mother after a comment about "doing some proper work instead of childminding" a couple of years ago. I'm not surprised that the child has no manners but it's still a stark reminder when you get it in your house! DD1 actually apologised for her friends behaviour earlier - she said she was really ashamed that she was like that to me and re-affirmed that I am the best mum in the world and she'd happily eat my HM burgers every day - even for breakfast! lol"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
