Tru- I knew it was a guinea pig and not a pig pig - cos I'm clever - where's my prize???
Morning all
Sun's out!!!! DD2 woke up with a stinking cold - will this child ever be healthy? DD1 has an inset day today - she's got a friend coming round for the morning to make valentines cards and they wanted to make their own lunch - HM burgers and HM rolls (can see I'll have some tidying up to do)
DH has tomorrow and friday off so we're hoping to have a couple of "us" days without the kids - might treat ourselves to lunch out - but then again might not as I'm trying to save to buy a welsh dresser (seen a lovely one on ebay but DH isn't keen)
Beds all made, dw and wm on, surfaces have been swished and everything's reasonably tidy. Gammon and cauli cheesy pasta bake tonight - very much looking forward to it too.

Just typed a long post and then pressed the wrong button and lost it!!!!
Hugs to csarina,JackieO,kyle, pennyp and everyone feeling poorly.
csarina
I used to find that a pinch of bicarb of soda in a little warm water helped - it tastes awful though!

You do not "go on" and you can say anything that you like on here.
Have you been getting nasty p.m.s again?
Welcome to annie (new one) and (((anniebooklover)))
Hester
You would probably get rid of Katy if you told her but she would probably ask headmistress to sack you!!!
Considering her "uncling" she is hardly in a position to cast the first stone.
Made porridge for breakfast as DD is uncomfortable eating after seeing the orthodontist yesterday.
She has requested jelly for tonight and might make shepherds pie or pasta that is easy to eat.
Need to pick up a prescription later so might pop into Sainsburys in search of inspiration (and bargains).
I thought it was a guinea pig too!!!!!"This site is addictive!"

Yes, I think they do plan on eating them  which I will try and turn the other cheek to.
We might as well as have a pig discussionI think we've done every other topic.
So what breed is the popular choice for 'home grown'?? We had large whites, but I know fo pets lotsa people go for the Vietnamese Pot bellied variety, I think this is what George Clooney had!

Morning all, hugs to all those that need them. :grouphug:
Short day today as I have to be at another uni by 4pm for a careers fair (this is the scary prospect of getting a proper job again), but at least I get to escape for the afternoon. Shocking amount of work to do today though, so I need to get down to it.
OH cooked last night which was sweet of him - he made brocolli and potato in stilton sauce with sausages and it was really nice. I have the last of the [STRIKE]monkey brain[/STRIKE] cauliflower curry for lunch today, which is good as I get bored eating the same thing over and over. Between us we've eaten about a quarter of the carrot cake I made and twelve muffins since Sunday. I'm not normally a cake person, but I'm sure they are putting something addictive in the icing sugar. :rotfl: Not sure what I'll cook for dinner tonight - might be bottom of the fridge suprise
JackieO, good luck at the hospital today
Hester, I work with a Katy who sounds exactly the same... it amuses me 'cause I'm not approved of either. :rotfl: I wouldn't tell her though, just because it's none of her business.
I can't crochet to save my life, I always end up with triangles for some reason (same if I try to knit), I'd be fine if I wanted to make bunting or jumpers for traffic cones, but not much else. :rotfl:
Have a good day all, celyn x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning for the second time..................have just got up and the blooming cystitis seems to have worked itself out.....no discomfort in my tummy or when weeing.................it drives me daft, 2 years ago I was having attacks about every 3 months, we had to cancel a trip to Paris on the morning we were due to go..........because I developed an attack the day before......I was referred to the hospital and eventually given medication for a nervous bladder and since then its been fine.........................now it decides to rear it ugly head again gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......
Went back to bed after 3.30am, slep until just after 8 when OH brought me in a tray with breakfast.........it poured with rain during the night, so we decided to put off the allotment trip till this afternoon, its quite bright and sunny, so hopefully will clear up some of the wet..................time will tell.
My friend rang last night she was delighted with the card, she is posting it this morning.........................I am expecting a delivery from Lakeland, but they have not taken the full amount from my bank account......when I checked the order everything was ticked, so will have to wait and see whats in the parcel when it arrives.
Have not read the rest of the thread, so getting a cuppa and going through it in a mo...............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

 Well let me see. I think the most popular choice would be this one

No land at all is needed. Thats all folks.
I know nothing about pigs.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Tattycath, hope you're OK
I was about to go into the garden, when the boss rang  I've done an hour and a half's work (I think that's enough for one day, don't you? lol) and put the washer on. Just having a coffee then I'm heading outside.
I'm glad a few of you thought I meant guinea pig, I was starting to feel a bit daft :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Morning all :hello:
Tru, I'm with furrypig and Pooky. I worked it out that the guinea pig would be a better friend for a rabbit.;) But am I the only one who is suspicious that the day the piggy died Tru is rejoicing at having the bed to herself.
Sorry you've had a rough few days Crazychik.
Hugs to the 2 boys Kyle.
Glad you had a good sleep Catznine.
Hope your back feels better soon Tattycath
Tired mum....Wow, emigration is a big step. Where are you thinking of?
Pen Pen... If your and OH's idea of exciting bed time activity is reading seed catalogue then I don't think you're quite ready for "telephone working"
Pink and Snowy.... Have you wrecked Ikea yet?
Take care JackieO. x
And try to dodge the lightening bolts Aussie.
Welcome Annie lee :hello:
Nothing much happening here. I took the cat to the vet and she has to go in for another op on Friday. Hopefully she will not whine as much as me or OH will be off.
Need to catch up on some laundry and ironing today and tea is omlette and wedges so easy peasy.
It's a glorious day and I'm desperate to get into the garden but will have to contain myself.
Take care all

Good morning:D
tru, I was one of the clever ones who knew you meant a guinea pig. It's traditional isn't it guineas and rabbits in together?;)
Aussie, how awful about the storm. Poor boy and his family. Is that a big storm drain like you see in America? Glad you had a lovely ninny day. You're really good at being a ninny:p
PenPen, glad you're feeling brighter today:D Good progress on the crocheting, granny squares are just around the corner;) :T Oh and my idea for a birthweek? Seems to have sunk like a lead balloon as far as the family are concerned, but it was worth a try:rotfl:
Welcome to AnnieLee:hello: They're a mad lot, but very nice, you'll like it here:D
Hope hospital goes well JackieO. You should wear an eye patch to go with your pirate scarf:rotfl: Look on the moneysaving side, no shampoo or conditioner costs for a while;) ((((hugs))))
kyle, yes keep drinking water, that will help. A friend of mine has been taking flax-seed oil and says all the dry cracked skin on her feet has disappeared. Might be worth a thought
catznine (((hugs))), glad things look brighter today. Hope DD feels better too.
We're having fish tonight, like quite a lot it seems. Fresh tuna for me, and wild Alaskan salmon for the rest. Yummy with steamed veggies (lots and lots) and new potatoes.
Off to make a coffee, then I really must get back to some chores:rolleyes: As it's dry and bright I think I'll do some gardening, after all the dust isn't going anywhere in a hurry:D
