    Hi all,
what a day - this is the first time that i`ve actually sat down so i haven`t managed to read the thread yet but i will hopefully catch up now.
It`s been one of those days where nothing seems to get done and everything takes longer than usual.

I was up and out with the hounds early and back in for 530 and then off to work where i`ve had the shift from hell, boy was i glad to get outta there today!
When i finally arrived home it was to do the usual chores and prepare everything for tea tonight, then another hour and a half out with the houndies again.
I`m eating my tea whilst i catch up on here and then before i set about the kitchen i may just have an hour on the sofa, i don`t think i`ve been as tired as this in ages. Hope i`m not coming down with something.
Dh rang to say he would be late tonight so he will have to reheat his food whenever.
    Off to catch up now.
Hope everyone had a good day
((((hugs)))) to anyone who needs one today.

    Hi again

Well had a very busy day [strike]sorting out how to buck the internet system at work, Nikwax DH's boots and printing off photos of DGSs to update my photo frames[/strike] catching up with the backlog of work as I was on my own all day.

Half term here this weekend through until Wednesday. I will be dismantling the fish tank in preparation for all the work to be started in March. Will miss the fish but it is a good time to get rid as tank very old and worn out. DD phoned this afternoon to say she has volunteered me as a helper at DGS1 nursery on Tuesday  (his midterm starts next Wednesday)! When we were over for his birthday he was desperate for me to do another stint. I knew poor wee Squeaky was a GP as we too had a rabbit and GP in same hutch when kids younger and had retained this gem of info from Tru's previous posts! Hope Bunny OK Tru? Will be missing his pal. I will leave the story of having to get Roger the Rabbit castrated for another day.

Hugs to Catz (and DD) Jackie, Crazychick, Haribo, PenPin, Bemuzed, Ausie, dlb, Csarina and Pooky. In fact, hugs to all. Hello and welcome to AnnieL. :A

HHester forgot to say that you really must sort Katy out. Hmmmm, yes, well, living over the brush might just do it!

    evening all,

Had a bad day at work, why is it that when ever I am off for a while (training last week) that I come back to a huge pile of work, nothing is done in my absence, another of the girls is off this week and has passed so many of her bits onto me to do it makes me mad she is lazy but gets away with it because she is best freinds with the boss  , my appraisal has been put off till tomorrow, so will say something then.

Sorry for rant, feel better now :D

Mrs mix glad your DLA was sorted

ageandjo nice to see you posting, I have nothing to say either, but it doesn't stop me :D

    Have good evenings all xx

I echo Elona's sentiments exactly. Your DD sounds a wee star. I had something similar when children were young and I child minded to augment our smallish income at the time. Although not so many Mums were going out to work at that time there were a few of the 'real' professional ladies who went off made up and in their suits who looked down at the likes of me. Who did they leave their kids with, yes a childminder!

Bunny is not happy. She's still eating and drinking so she'll be fine I think. Mr tru wants to get another guinea pig 'cos the rabbit's lonely'. She's never lived on her own and she seems lonely, and I do have a spare hutch in case they don't get on.

    Decisions decisions  :D

    Hi Tru

Might be a good idea. I would introduce a new GP gradually though. Do you have a run for them? Let new GP settle in for a day or two and then put in run together for short periods (but not unattended) and build up contact time until you are sure OK with each other.

    Love

    GB xx

PS How old is the rabbit? Might be a deciding factor!
  • Hi again

mrs mix well done on the DLA. It will make a big difference to you, I'm sure.
catznine you will be so relieved that a diagnosis has been made for DD.
pooky what an ungrateful brat! Would be interesting to see her cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar levels in a few years. Your dd sounds like a well-adjusted, mature young lady. You never know, she may just rub off on Miss Rude over time.

DS came home from work experience today with a *huge* box of diabetic chocolates for me by way of apology for my broken statue. The receipt was in the bag. £13.75! We sat down and had a talk. I explained how I felt and he explained how he felt. He thought I had stopped loving him because of a broken statue - so now I feel really rotten. :( However, i did reassure him that it doesn't matter what he does, I will always love him. He is now tidying his room up and DD is finishing her homework before washing the dishes. So peace reigns once more in the booklover household. But I have been reminded that my DS may be over 6' tall and look like a man, but at heart he is still my baby and is so soft-hearted.

OMG that sounds like an episode of Little House on the Prairie, doesn't it!! :o

Dentist's surgery called at 9 this morning to say that dentist had called in sick so my appt has been rearranged for tomorrow. Just as well I'm not in pain.

Going to make something with the chicken thighs that I defrosted before I remembered today was Ash Wednesday.

Have a good evening, all. xx

    Hi all

Sorry I'm not around much atm. DD2 (the one who had the baby just before Christmas) isn't very well - she got mastitis and despite 3 lots of antibiotics it's getting worse rather than better, so I've been helping with the children as much as possible. DGD is fine, growing well and has started smiling. DGS is 18mo , great fun but exhausting! So I'm having to rest as much as I can when I'm not with them. DD is going to the GP again tomorrow and will probably be referred straight to the hospital - I hope so at any rate!

Penny_Pincher - hope you are feeling a bit better this evening.

Mrs Mix - great news about the DLA!:j

Penelope Penguin - glad you have been feeling beter today. Strange how it never seems to occur to management how demoralising it is to make people apply for the jobs they've been doing satisfactorily for ages.

Csarina - so glad the cystitis is clearing up. What a nasty thing it is. I used to get it a lot when i was younger, but I seemed to grow out of it.

Tru - so sorry about your piggy, I hope Bubbles will soon be fine again. I guessed it was a guinea pig, because DD1 has hers in with rabbits!

    AnnieLee - welcome!:D

AussieLass - what a dreadful storm, so sad about that poor little boy.

Tired Mum - emigrating, what an exciting idea! Good luck with your plans!

Must go and get dinner ready now. (Fish for us too.) Feeling a bit virtuous as WM and BM are both on! been too tired and busy to use the BM for a while.

HUGS to everyone who needs one - and to those who don't too, come to think of it, because hugs are nice to have.

    Bye for now
