Jack is my very lovely cat. She is actually called Parsley but she growls alot and you would swear she was telling you to !!!! off.
Pink thought she was hilarious and renamed her Father Jack.
I guess you had to be there.0 -
Aaah lovely. I like the name Parsley:D Is she the one in your kitchen photos? Very pretty, just like my darling old cat ( long departed, I'm afraid)You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

No that's the other one who Pink has renamed !!!!!!.
Parsley is less, how shall I say it, photogenic.0 -
I am shocked that Pink would use such terms:eek:   (even if abbreviated;) But actually I don't know what that stands for:rotfl: )You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Churchie, it means "What the Fudge". However Haribo may have her own particular vernacular....
I see Pink has moved on to Liquid Soda Crystals, having abandoned the fondue thread. Me thinks she's coming this way!0 -

In Pink's case it probably stands for Where's the (Free) Food?;)
I'm going now before I get smacked.0 -
Haribo, I'm so glad that Jack is going to be OK. My old dear Tabitha had only three back teeth, having gone through three dentals, but she still managed to scoff everything put in front of her. Do remind the vet to check Jack's kidneys before the anaesthetic - s/he probably will anyway, but it never hurts to tell them that you specifically want to know that they are fully functioning before the op, and therefore able to take the stress of the anaesthetic.0

Thanks Snowy. She said she would check the kidneys, and will take some bloods and check her joints while she's under. I'm not convinced it's just her teeth as she had some out last year but she wasn't behaving this strangely.
Churchie, don't you have any cats now? I though they were compulsory for membership to Old Style.Aussie only gets away with Benny cos he's as small as a cat.

Bleeping heck...
I log on, after the evening's work from hell, and find a quiet board.
Pop off to try to help (yes I know...I bore you all to death with my links), come back to the daily and you've all gone mad!
Father Jack is a good name for Parsley...I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt here...and hoping that it's only because she's old (and that Haribo hasn't brushed her teeth properly ) that she's such a grumpy git.
!!!!!! is even more apt for sian, shean, cheean, (or however it's spelt) I have never met a cat that looks at you like that! !!!!!!! Who TF are you! Where TF am I....she has an expression for every !!!!!! I've ever come across! The best bit is that she spends 10 minutes working out how to open the catflap EVERY TIME!!! !!!!!! is the only cat I've ever come across that uses her right foreleg to hold the flap open while she ducks under it. As Haribo said...it has to be seen to be believed!
My day today was good..
Snowy and I hit Ikea. This was our fifth ‘meet’ so we celebrated by going to the caf!. Now remember Ikea has only just landed in N Ireland so we both felt obliged to have meatballs. They tasted ok, a bit cold and bland, but ok. The free coffees were good though. Off we went to explore…then Snowy needed to go to the loo. Told her I’d follow her down, but me being me, got lost…very, very lost! So we both wasted ages trying to find one another. When we finally did, we bagged a few bargains. Snowy now has a lovely table for her hall (wish I’d seen it first) and I have a new fruit bowl and some red napkins…Planning to go back at the weekend with Mr Pink as I’ve seen some cutlery, a few serving dishes, and a new kitchen that I’d quite like. Oh well, I can live in hope!
Sleep well all,
Pink0 -
