Freezes and defrosts well in balls, I eat it for lunch every day and it tastes fine. I leave it overnight, but I'd estimate 4-5hrs.0

Hello, lovely OS people.
I bought some liver today for the dog, but there's loads of it so I was planning to freeze the remainder. Now I'm home I realise it says "Not suitable for home freezing" on the packaging. What would happen if I did try and freeze it? Would it just not keep its form or might it be dangerous?Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

Well fresh liver can definately be frozen - I'd guess that what you bought has been previously frozen. Can you cook it and freeze it cooked?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Liver is usually freezable, so I would imagine that yours is not suitable for home freezing because it has been previously frozen and it is advisable not to refreeze.
You can cook it and refreeze but I have no idea how this would affect the texture upon reheating.
I am sure though, that someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
It's only a game
