    Hi Jolene,

    You can do it either way really. I usually defrost soup first but if I forget to take it out of the freezer early enough, I just reheat it from frozen.

    I'll add this to the Quick Questions on freezing thread as your question may help others.

    I freeze mashed swede all the time and it works really well, just heat it up in a pan when its defrosted to drive off the extra water. Not sure how chunks work but I'm sure they would be fine, just a slight texture change.

    Can I take frozen beef mince , cook it, then freeze it again ?

    Hi mardatha,

    Yes you can providing the mince was raw when it was frozen. The general rule is freeze once raw and then once defrosted and cooked it can be frozen again but only once.

    I'm ready to be told differently ;) but you can do this. I do it all the time. Defrost big pack of mince, cook it into various meals then freeze in portions ready for an easy nights meal :T

    hi im going to mt soon gonna try some love soup and humus reciptes with lentils,chickpeas etc i was wondering can you freeze them ? thought i would do some batch cooking thanks:confused:

    Yes, you can cook them in bulk and freeze them in recipe sized batches.
