it should be fine - a few years ago i developed obstuctive jaundice in december and was imediatly told to go on a fat free diet (no alcohol either). as its only me and my mum who eat christmas pud my mum did not see the point of cooking the shop bought pudding for herself - so joined the rest of the family in the apple pie they have instead - the pudding was put into the freezer until i could share it 5 1/2 months later - it never came to any harm.

I can't see why it wouldn't be ok. They seem pretty indestructible.

    Hello,

Just wanted to check whether it is fine to freeze beef mince after browning it off. My freezer went off and a couple things started to defrost, including two packs of mince, which I wasn't going to be using until New Years Eve. Is it ok to cook it and then once cooled, bag up and put in the freezer?

    Thanks!

  • I do it all the time - get some mince out, defrost then make into shepherds pie or bolognaise

    Sausage roll freezing question
I hope I've got this in the right place.
I have some sausagemeat and puff pastry in the fridge to make some sausage rolls, which I want to freeze for Boxing Day - is it better to cook them first and cool and freeze them? or put them in the freezer uncooked -and if so do I defrost them before cooking them? (I'm a novice about freezing meat)
    many thanks

I make them then freeze them, that way you have less to do on the day.
