I have been clearing out my freezer and found a piece of beef that has been in there for 10 months - do you think it will be Ok to eat.
Cant believe I didnt know it was in there!Waddle you do eh?0 -
Meat cannot go off in the freezer. However, it may have deteriorated in quality somewhat. It will not harm you and I suggest long slow cooking will be the best option.0

Hi fishawks,
Most things are best used within a few of months of freezing but food won't go off in the freezer if you leave it for longer. However if it's left too long it can get freezer burn and the quality can deteriorate.
I've certainly had meat in the freezer for longer than ten months and eaten it with no problems. If I was you I'd defrost it and take a look/sniff at it and if it seems ok then enjoy!
I'll add your post to the Quick Questions on freezing thread where you should get more advice.

It'll be fine, if it's wrapped well.

I've picked up these bargains today and was wondering which I could freeze?
Tesco egg & cress sandwiches.
Tesco cheese & onion sandwiches.
Chocolate cake bars (sponge, buttercream, real chocolate, icing plaque) I'm guessing these won't, any thoughts on how long past their date (today) they'd last?
Thanks, Ness.0 -
I am thinking of making a raised pork pie and a raised game pie for Christmas, but only if I can make them now, as I do not think I would have time for them just before Christmas.
Can you freeze them
a, cooked
b, uncooked
If you froze them uncooked, would you just freeze the stock for the jelly separately?
