Yes you can and it'll be absolutely fine - it also makes the most gorgeous ice lollies0

I do the same with the tinned pineapple as well - use some in a stir fry and save the rest to cook with another time. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

You can, or you can make Pina Colada  I'll add this to the existing thread on what you can freeze later.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
another question from me!
I have a big load of chicken pieces bought tonight which I was gonna cook for tonights meal (which will then do tomorrow too) . I will probably halve the pack and freeze the rest as it should do two more meals (bulked with veg)
is it best to fry it all and then freeze half once its cooked down? or is it better to put half the raw chicken into freezer bags then defrost and cook when needed?
also - anyone know if I can freeze raw vegetables (onion, peppers, carrots, mushrooms?) or whether I need to cook them and then freeze?
eating from the freezer again this month! :rotfl:
many thanks0 -
Hi Deleted_User,
I always freeze chicken raw, that way once it's cooked you can re-freeze any leftovers if you need to as it's ok to freeze chicken once in it's raw state then defrost and cook and freeze again once in it's cooked state.
These threads may help with the veg:
Freezing onions
Can I Freeze Peppers???
Freezing carrots
Freezing mushrooms
I'll add your post to the Freezing - Tips and Quick Questions thread later as your questions may help others.

I agree, if you freeze it raw it gives you more choices what you make with it. Exception to this is any leftovers from rubber chicken or deliberate batch cooking.0
