I've made a batch of yummy soup from yellow split peas, onions and carrots with beef stock. Normally I would add cream before serving but I haven't done it yet - would this soup be ok to freeze? I'm not sure if all soups are ok! I've never frozen any soup before, do I just pop it in a tupperware box with a bit of extra space at the top?0

Sounds lovely, Should freeze fine, my soups usually do, sometimes seem a little grainy when first thawed but fine on reheating. omit cream and tupperware box sounds good. could always trf to freezer bag once frozen0
-
If it is a bit grainy, mix one and a half teaspoon of cornflour with some water and bring back to the boil0

Should freeze well, yellow split pea thickens the longer it is made so you may have to add more stock when you defrost it. #Just about any soup freezes well so long as it doesnt have any cream in it. good luck,Every days a School day!0

Evening!! Have just made a lasagne using a jar or ragu white sauce from the back of my cupboards (I do usually make my own sauce - honest!!). Anyway, I have half a jar of the stuff left, and was just wondering if anyone has successfully managed to freeze it, then my next lasagne is already on its way. Many thanks. AlwaysHappyI'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

I have previously frozen white sauce, so I would give it a go and see if it works

I freeze it too as am not yet confident enough to make my own. It can go a little runny when defrosting, but tastes fine0

Yes it's fine. When defrosting it looks a bit split and rubbish but once hot again it's back to it's normal self!Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. Don't see why not If I make a lasagne and use a bottled sauce (not often unless its on a special offer thats really cheap) then I usually end up freezing the lasagne or whats left over from it and the sauce is in there0

Yes, I'd freeze it, it will be fine.0
