Ahh it says "no withdrawals on the promo page". :rolleyes:Temrael
Don't use a long word when a diminutive one will suffice.0 -
I assume all ISA's finish on the 1st April of each tax year? so I can set the lloyds one up early and transfer both previous ones to start this year, and include this years £3,600 at the same time?
The reason for asking is that I openend a Barclays ISA last year but it was later in April, so didn't want to loose the bonus by cancelling/transferring before my year was up, if that makes sense.already bank with Lloyds so might go in and see.
Thanks0 -
The tax year doesn't end on 1st April....0

I have just transferred to a direct ISA with Abbey. This allows me access to money via the internet and not in branch.
Does anybody know if I can transfer to the Lloyds TSB 6.5% ISA from my Direct ISA?0 -
That answers an unasked question of mine ("can you transfer an ISA piecemeal to more than one provider?"). My ISA is getting very close to the £35K limit (my current ISA plus £3.6K from 2008-2009 would in fact take it over £33K which is the effective limit if one includes interest).
If you can split an ISA when transferring it I wouldn't have qualms about putting next year's allowance into LTSB.
I transferred my 2006/07 former Portman ISA 3 ways :
On 28th august 2007 i gave applied to both Scottish BS and Leek BS for an ISA on a transfer in basis.
A month later i applied to KRBS for an ISA on a transfer in basis ( remainder of 2006/07 ISA funds)
All 3 Transfers were completed on 28th November. :rotfl:
Does that answer the question u posed. :think:0 -

Thanks
Barclays 1% Bonus is up 12 months after the account was opened so if it was opened on 10th May 2007 with interest backdated to 6th April then 12 months bonus starts on 10th May not 6th April.
I shall apply for transfer out in early April so that transfer out is completed ( im feeling lucky :rotfl: ) before the 1% bonus is removed.
Earliest u can put 3600 in 2008/09 ISA is 6th April.0 -

Are you absolutely sure about that? When I rang them about a month ago to find out when the bonus finished (mine was opened in May, but interest backdated to April), I was told that because interest had been backdated the bonus finished on the anniversary of when the interest had been backdated to. I wish they'd make sure their staff give out consistent information. Things are difficult enough without them confusing matters.0 -
