Hi!
Just wondering if anyone could help please. I received a letter from Lloyds confirming that my LTSB FRISA account anniversary is in May 09. As the rate is 6.5% , I wonder if i could transfer my Nationwide Member ISA bond (measley 1 ish %)into LTSB FRISA 6.5% ? There seem to be differing experiences on here, some say OK and others saying No?
Thanks in advance.
JaySL
As some of us say yes you can and others say no, why not give Lloyds a quick ring/visit and let us know what they sayTo Dare is To Do:beer:0 -
Reporting back on my earlier post. LTSB said NO transfer in.

Finally got sorted out for compensation on the Lloyds ISA fiasco.
Total from them is around £325.
Managed to get £250 from Nationwide for their part in it all.
It was a long process, but worth it in the end
Was so close to taking both of them to the Ombudsman. If it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying0 -
I am not sure if this thread is still active but here goes: I have £30000 in Lloyds fixed 6.5% isa which matures on the 25th March. I was thinking of taking/transfering to the 3.2% fixed isa this week as I am informed that I wont lose any early penalty interest and that rates may come down further. Any further suggestions?0

IMO this is not a bad deal at the moment - some of the other decent rates don't allow transfers in (although Julian Hodge does and pays 3.25%)so with this you get 3.2% on the whole of the £30000 plus next years allowance if you add to it - also it means that you don't have to go through all the transfer process to another institution which can be hassle as posts on this forum have proved
I completely agree with your remarks and will go ahead tomorrow. I notice if I filter in next years allowance in monthly regular payments I can get 5 or 6% from other providers. I haven't worked it out but realise this wont be much difference in return, to bombing in the full allowance at the beginning of the tax year. Just like the thought of getting the higher interest rates!0 -
The big day is tomorrow !! lol ..the anniversary of my 6.5% ISA. The following day the £30000 plus interest should be transfered to the the new 1 year 3.2% fixed ISA. So this means interest of £1950 plus £53 because of the few days they had my cheque from the previous provider and before they paid it into my account. So that means £32003 will go into the new 3.2% ISA or will it!! I wonder if anybody still follows this thread and is really interested !!0

I have one with Lloyds too boobbby, but it doesn't mature until 7th April, even though I opened it up on 18th March 2008. Fingers crossed!
I even got a letter back in February saying the anniversary was the date of the first deposit (7th April 2008) - the transfer didn't leave my previous ISA until 2nd April 2008 so I was lucky...just took 5 days to get thereI would normally have a cup of tea0 -
My maturity date is today, but no interest so far!! Will it actually be tomorrow when it appears?0
