Just to confirm my transfer is now complete-that the "Year" starts at date of application. as it took 3 months to set up i will only get 9 months @ 6.5%

I am still waiting 3 months on. I still have £3000 sitting in a Halifax Isa at 5% that has not been transferred to make the 9000 minimum. Will go in tomorrow and see what the branch has to say.. grrrr.

I wouldn't bother if I were you. 9 months @6.5% and then the hassle of getting out with the rest of us.
Why not go elsewhere? Icesave @6.1%?

I am still waiting for Lloyds to deal with my complaint that I sent in early April. Their customer service department seems to be one of many that do not provide what it says on the door i.e CUSTOMER SERVICE.

You've given them a chance as required by ombudsman so over to them now?

does anyone know what this means, in my lloyds account online it says

    Account Balance - £xx.xx
    Available Allowance £xx.xx
    Taxable Allowance remaing - £xx.xx

Now the third part is part of a transfer from another ISA, why would that be listed under taxable ? Or am I reading it wrongly in some way ?
    Nice to save.

i've argued my case with them regarding the start date of the 12 month period. i emailed the CEO stating the terms which say the term starts from the initial deposit but they wont budge on it and say it's 12 months from application.

i might go to the ombudsman............has anyone else done this?

right i've just re-read ALL 62 pages of this thread to get a good idea of what people have complained about and what outcome they have got.;)

    it would be interesting to know;

    1) how many of us have emailed the CEO (eric daniels) about our complaints? (i have!!:D )

    2) anyone contacted the FOS yet? if so what have been their findings?

    3) anyone contacted the media (papers, bbc watchdog, etc.) over this fiasco?

i still haven't had a satisfactory outcome to my complaints.

1)i'm still being told the 12 months 'starts' from account 'opening' not first deposit (as per their T&C's).
i know a couple of you (sloughflint & derrick?) have written comfirmation of a full years term
    2) i haven't received any 'ex gratis' interest adjustment for the difference between my old provider rate and the 6.5%, upto the 'deposit' date
i believe derrick? has got this
    3) i've had nothing by way of 'compensation' or a goodwill gesture for my troubles and having to contact LTSB on numerous occasions
i know a number of you have had £50 or £100

    i will keep fighting..............

Just to rehash my experience-they lost the original application-2nd application took 3 months. i had contacted Eric Daniels, and was delt with by the "Senior Are manager" i have been promised 2 x £100 compensation, plus some compensation for loss of interest which is to complicated to post here.
The year Does start from application, so nobody will get a full year @ 6.5% interest, i will only get 9 months.
However the amounts of compensation do NOT show up on the website, im told "you will have to go into the branch" to see this (They dont want to pay interest on the "compensation"!
