I took the £10 a month discount and bought myself the Sony W850i plus T Mobile added extra minutes on the deal I was on so I only pay £5.00 amonth for 300 minutes off peak which is ideal for me. Managed to buy someone elses unwanted upgrade on ebay the w850i for only brand new.Competitions wins 2010

I rang up last week (still got a couple of weeks to official upgrade date. I asked for a touch plus (I currently have a vario2) and was offerred it for free if I kept the discount I already have (flext 20, free voicemail, webnwalk pro - includes voip and modem use unlimited etc.)
THey also offerred me a bluetooth headset. Tried to charge me for delivery though so I will try again a different day.
Moral - always ring - the offer is different every day (see retentions thread) and dont take the first offer.0 -
Yep similar here rang up, didn't want an upgrade so took the discount of £10/Mth and free WnW Handset. I told them I was happy to move to O2 Simplicity. They did offer the usual handsets that were on the list for free and a small payment for a 6500 but wasn't interested in a phone especially as theirs are locked and I need an unlocked Phone.Cheers

It gets worse
I have just rung tmobile again and was offerred the touch plus for free bit told that not only would they not give me a loyalty discount - they would take away the one I have - so they expect me to stay for another 18 months and pay more than I am on now - I dont think so. Oh and no free accesories either! and all because I am always within my allowance.0 -
Dunno about other networks, but don't use t-mobile shops, get them online/phone, at least you have some sort of protection that way if the phones just not for you.0
-
They can also cut you a much better deal - especially if you play the "I'm leaving, please give me a PAC" game. However, in the past, once I've agreed a deal, I've managed to arrange for the upgrade to take place in-store.The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I think my best bet is to try and get hold of a phone elsewhere and take a huge discount on my line rental - they clearly dont want to offer me anything worth having because I need a phone capable of web and email with proper usability.0

Well things are not improving with my upgrade scenario
I have requested my pac and was offerred no different to before;
choices are - free touch plus and my tarif increases from £25.49 to £27 or no phone and a reduction of tarif to £15 per month.
Really really dissappointed and stuck.0 -
After being seriously sting (£100 in legal fees alone) by TMO Im after a non cashback deal. I have been offered £21 a month for current tarriff (flext £35 £120 allwanace) on a 12 months contract with a K800i. Is there anything better out there?0
-
My current 12 month contract is ending, £30 per month for £120 Flext. I've just phoned up for my PAC expecting some good retention offers but nothing more than what is available to new customers.
They offered £10 discount for sim only keeping my current £120 Flext, I told them I like the sound of the T-Mobile Just SIM 15 offer, 200mins/800txt for £15 no contract, I said any chance of that for £10 but put me on a 12/18 month contract but they wouldn't budge.
I had to pay £27 for my PAC even though I pay in advance for my contract, I have to phone to claim this back after my final bill.0
