  • If CCCS wont deal with them, get your local money worker at the citizens advice to do it.
They will write to all your creditors and show them that there is no money left to pay after all your other costs.

Basic accounts - also look at co-op or post office.

  • Thanks guys:beer:

Funnily enough, just received a letter from NatWest only yesterday basically saying that they are going to review my account as it has not been used as it was before.......

I think if I got in touch with them they would try and offer me a loan anyway(wouldn't get far once they've seen my credit file!!) for the £5,000 overdraft, so think it best I just change to a basic bank account.

  • Hi guys

    Feeling really down today........really miserable.............

Went to see if I could open basic bank account at Co op yesterday.......when i got there was told I had to make an appointment, so wasted my whole lunch hour. Was told I could do it over the phone anyway or on website, i guess.

Rang natwest today just to see whether anything could be done about my overdraft. Stated that I was struggling to pay the £60 each month. They told me to go to CAB, as CCCS was not really helping me to pay my creditors directly.......

Just want all this to be sorted out as i want to start a clean slate next year.

Please advise me what to do next.........please

Sporter - you're not tied to CCCS as far as I can see? I found Payplan to be brilliant at handling the creditors. My ex and I managed to have 4/5 debts frozen with no charges or interest after their interventions, so you may wish to contact them?

Of course mention you've already been speaking to CCCS (I'm sure they're too busy to be able to afford to duplicate work). If the worst comes to it, just start making £1 token repayments and say that you need to work out a repayment plan.

Did you ever actually get round to arranging a basic bank account?

Hope you're feeling a little bit more optimistic after all the positive feedback and advice you've been offered? I know things seem horrible now, but you have to believe that *they will* get better. People have dug themselves out of bigger holes, but there's no need to beat yourself up over mistakes.

You'll learn from this and move on :)

Any specific suggestions you're looking for input/feedback on at the mo?
