My OH doesn't really like pancakes & I can't cook them as well as he does  so the deal is I cook main meal & he gets B&J icecream as a reward.

CRIKEY - Dont take offense but I read this as "my oh gets a BJ as a reward"!!! Spat me coffee all over the screen :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Savoury- cheese & ham, onion & mush in condensed mush soup, smoked salmon in creme fraiche
Sweet- chocolate spread with chopped nuts if feeling adult or hundreds and thousands [that'll be me ;) jam and I'm tempted to try adding spices to the pancake batter and then putting warmed honey in the middle. Only just thought of that variation so might be vile!!!

I've never bought pancake mix, always used 4oz flour, 1 egg and 1/2 pint of milk..never failed yet. I think it just as quick and less expensive, especially I need them in industrial quantities as everyone here is greedy( I was going to say they love thepancakes then I decided to be honest)

Just giving this a wee bump up in case anybody wants to look at it in prep for tomorrow...

I'm going to make pancakes tomorrow...if nothing else I will get to test my smoke alarms. AFAIK pancakes were invented in order to use up kitchen supplies before the Lenten fast, but ironically I have to go out and buy the ingredients.

    Happy flipping everyone!
