Butterscotch sauce (heat together butter and golden syrup - I use a couple of ounces of each- until slightly darker and thicker) with sliced banana. If feeling flush we have cream or icecream on the side
  • I love Tuna mixed with sweetcorn and cheese sauce in the pancake then a load of cheese on the top once rolled up.
Pop it in the oven untill brown yum yum

I also like bananas chopped up and put into the mixture make your pancake and serve with ice cream and whipped cream yum yum

    butter and maple syrup

that's right! mmmmmm traditional american way :grinheart

i only do the big fluffy pancakes..not the ones like crepes

crepes are nice but nothing beats a proper pan cake

and you simply MUST cook them in a cast iron skillet or cast iron griddle, that's just perfection!

  • I like them with sweet chestnut puree. Yum!
  • hi the recipe i use is
    150ml milk
    150ml water
    100gm of flour
    1 egg

I whizz it all together with my stick blender, have never had a bad pancake.
the best tip is to make sure the pan is very hot and well oiled.

ummmmm I had a ham and pickle pancake tasturday yummy.
    also home made tooffee sauce.
    250gm of mucavado sugar
    200ml of cream
    water
put sugar in sauce pan and just cover with water. bring to boil slowly while stirring sugar needs to dissolve, then stir and boil until it caramalises about 8 mins keep stiring. take off hob let cool for 10 min then add the cream mix really well and voila yummy toffee sauce.
Saving for the future of the earth

I like creme fraiche and fresh strawberries or plain ol lemon and suger.

The worst thing about pancakes is that the cook never gets to eat one cos by the time you've served all they are back for seconds so I always cook a huge batch in the morning and stack them cold on a plate and gently re-heat in the micro and then keep warm in the oven. You'd never know they wern't cooked fresh. HTH

  • I must be honest as much as I love pancake day I wish it was already over! The main reason being is that my husband has already pestered me every night for the past week to make pancakes just to make sure that I won't forget how to do them when pancake day finally arrives :D
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

My OH doesn't really like pancakes & I can't cook them as well as he does  so the deal is I cook main meal & he gets B&J icecream as a reward.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
