Savory = mixed veg coated with cheese spread, stuffed inside pancakes with grated cheese over the top and then grilled lightly to melt the cheese

Sweet = traditional sugar and lemon juice, only mine tend to do the backstroke in a pool of lemon juice as I love it so much :p

This is a recipe I use and don't let the cottage cheese in it put you off making it, they are brilliant and go down a treat with the kids too.

    Blueberries and cream are good.
    Maple syrup.
Bananas and squirty cream, as mentioned above by Winnie81 and Graham_S
Strawberries and cream sounds good too.

    Roll on 28th February!!!

  • My favorite topping is tinned sliced peaches - drizzle the syrup from the tin over the pancake as well, then dust with icing sugar & cinnamon

Mmmm.... We couldn't wait in our house so we had pancakes on Monday teatime. That doesn't mean we won't bother on pancake day, we just love them.

DS likes chocolate spread or sugar and lemon. I like sugar and lemon or cherry pie filling and ice cream! Mmmmmm.... Drools....

  • I thought that pancake day was yesterday - as well as being valentines :o. However, as I'd already promised the kids, we had 'em anyway.

    Roll on 28th - MORE pancakes :D
  • Someone at work said he was cooking for his wife on Valentines day - corned beef hash and pancakes. We all assumed the pancakes were for pudding - we were wrong !!

apparently they both liked it though

With Valentines, pancakes, a birthday and our anniversary - it is like December again!

I cheat these days and get deals on Aunt Bessies but when I do get the urge to make em, they are good.
