Hi vicki,
We'll have them for breakfast on Tuesday with a choice of sugar and lemon or maple syrup and cream. Then for dinner I'll make seafood pancakes.
There's an earlier thread with lots of pancake filling ideas so I've added your thread to it to keep the ideas together.

Sugar and orange juice for me, treacle for DH.
Do you all "toss" your pancakes?0 -
Hi all!
Just a quickie. If I make pancake batter tonight, will it survive until the morning?
Thanks in advance etc.0 -
I have decided.
For breakfast I'm doing scrambled egg and sausages on pancakes with syrup. (I wasn't going to do breaskfast too but I got carried away in the moment!)
Lunch will be chicken, leek and mozarella all creamy and gooey.
Pudding (after lunch) is cherry and almond with a creamy dark chocolate sauce.
I'm on my own for dinner so will have a normal dinner!
It's DS first pancake day since he was weaned so I might make him a teeny one to try too.0 -
Yes, do it tonight it gets better if left!0

i usually find it separates if it is made up previously, it will only take a couple of mins to mix it up in the morning ,
or you could just measure out the flour tonight and keep it in a bowl until the morning0 -
is there a fool proff pancake recipe ? Searched and couldnt find one. Im designated cook of our family and we are going to mums house! I will be well under scrutiny
my old flatmate used to make pancakes with slices of banana in the middle, was beaut. I was goign to try some with chocolate chips sprinkled on once the bottom has set a little bit - yes? no? Any tips ?
Can i put the banana in as slices or do i have to mix into the batter? iw ant them to keep shape and not be too mushy. Was going to try some with nuts as well ....A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

....
Last week the old (French) ladies in my village taught me the 4, 3, 2, 1 rule for pancake batter - that sounded simple:
4 cups of milk
3 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 pinch of salt
Whisk until smooth, rest for 30 mins.
(Personally I would also add a little vegetable oil in the batter, which saves having to grease the pan each time.)"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -

You are meant to use plain but I have done them with sr before and can't tell the difference.0
