Pregnant?

  • Thanks everyone.

Everything seems fine at the mo.

Went to the docs. Didn't make me do a test, but I told him my fears and he decided to send me for an early scan. Also did checks on me insides to check cervix was closed so that he could determine if it was an "inevitable" or "threatened" miscarriage. Had the scan Friday and the doctor said that I am defo pregnant (wahey! proof at last!) and on the screen, there was an egg shaped thing, but I'm not as far along as I thought as she couldn't see much else, so I have to go back for another one in 2 weeks time.

Part of me feels I've wasted everyone's time (and NHS money - although I guess I've paid for it and hardly ever go to the doctor), but my mind is set at ease now and I feel a lot better.

And it was nice seeing the egg thing even if it didn't mean much at the moment.

    .

Who's time did you waste? :D You were pregnant and bleeding. You were worried, they checked, and now your mind is at ease. Good.:) You're growing a new life here, not wasting a second of anyones time. It's their job.

In 2 weeks you'll be able to see how much your tiny 'dot' has grown. :D

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
  • Glad that you are ok Pollyanna. How far along do they think you are?

Agree completely with Penny Watcher. You haven't wasted anyones time.

    Many Congrats Pollyanna xxxx
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D
  • I'm so glad everything is ok Pollyanna24. I had a scan early on in my pregnancy and like yours' it was just a little egg shape!!! I had actually bled prior to me actually finding out I was pregnant. Thought my period had come, it lasted half a day then stopped. Did a test and wohoo I was pregnant. I'm now the very proud mummy of a gorgeous 5 year old son.

I'm sure everything will go well now for you. Keep us all updated. xxxxxx

I think I am 8 weeks (that's going by counting my dates), but the lady at the hospital reckons I'm about 7 weeks now.

Because I was already busting out of my size 10s and there is no hope of dieting now, I'm already thinking of maternity clothes. Don't really want to start buying size 12s (even though it's all me and not baby at the mo!), so just wondered where I could get cheap maternity clothes from. I looked in Tescos, but I was surprised that I couldn't find any.

All I mainly want at the mo is black trousers as I have some "fat" jeans at home, but no "fat" work clothes.

It is worth looking at The Gap and H&M, they had some great sales in January/February, and The Gap at Marble Arch on Oxford Street still has maternity trousers reduced to a fiver.
