PS Painful boobies went away for me within a couple of weeks of finding out I was expecting.
Can I just say thanks to everyone!! You've all been great! I think I will wait till tomorrow and do my best not to stress out about it. I don't even know where my nearest hospital is, so I now have more questions for the doctor. Me and bf are the kind of people that never ever visit the doctors, so I don't have a clue how things work.
Thanks Penny Watcher. I don't mind to drag up old memories, but at what stage did you miscarry and how long does it take? Sorry, if you don't want to tell me, you don't have to, just trying to prepare myself for the worse and so I know what I'm experiencing. At the moment, there's nothing, no spotting, but just a "feeling." I won't describe it as pain, because it's not, but I can defo "feel" something less than pain.
And thanks for the booby comment, that helps me as well! x

Polly, if it would help set your mind at rest, why not try and find an NHS walk-in centre near to where you work? I know there's one at the Royal London Hospital if you are anywhere near there.
When I miscarried the blood was bright red and started as tiny spots. It happened at around 6 weeks and took a few days; no pain (physically!). It seemed to drag on for a bit as at first the doctor/hospital hoped the bleeding might stop, but it didn't and they were great checking me over as they were worried it might be an ectopic
Having said that, I got terrible cramps when pregnant with my first child at about the same stage and went on to have a happy, healthy baby!
I think it is probably true to say that if you are going to miscarry at this stage then there's little you can do, although my GP told me to put my feet up and rest as much as possible. I reckon you should do that as soon as you can and just relax! For what it's worth, I'm in the it's probably implantation blood camp, so please try not to worry and just get some rest.
PS Forgot to say that with the baby I miscarried I didn't have things like sore boobs, which I had with the others. I seem to recall feeling less "pregnant" than before IYSWIM. If you've still got your feeling you've had and you've got sore boobs, I reckon that's a positive sign!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Fingers crossed it is all OK. I had bleeding with my last pregnancy from about 8 weeks through to the second trimester, and all was well.
I think a pregnancy test now wouldn't help, as even if there was a problem your body would probably still have enough pregnancy hormone left in the system to show up on the test. Besides which if you got a less sensitive test which gave a negative (bearing in mind that when you tested you were getting fairly faint positives to start off with, so your body may not be producing high levels of the hormone), this might panic you unnecessarily. Much better to wait until you see the doc and hopefully have a scan at the Early Pregnancy Unit.0 -
Have sent you a PM.0

Don't worry - if I can help I'm happy to do so. It's not medical advice, just my experience.
It was ..... erm ..... * scratches head and calculates back * about 12 years ago. I think I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I hadn't had a scan yet with that pregnancy, so I don't know if there were any abnormalities.
I started spotting around tea time on a Friday. Called the GP surgery on Saturday morning as there was definite bleeding. They told me to basically rest in bed until I could get to see them on Monday. Over the weekend I obviously lost that baby. Lots of cramps and bleeding and losing big clots. Sorry if thats TMI.
Monday I was sent for a scan - no heartbeat - and then either that day or the following (can't remember - all a bit of a blur of tears) I had a D&C to "clear the uterus of the remains of conception". The NHS have some lovely phrases.
Awful experience, BUT DD2 was born within 12 months of all this happening. If that had to happen in order for her to have a chance at life then so be it.
Good Luck! I'm sure all will be well for you, but now you have a little more info to put your mind at rest.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Thank you so much Penny watcher, that must have been a horrible time for you. I'm sorry to hear about it, but nature can be so cruel sometimes.
I'm hoping I'm exagerrating. I've spoken to my mum (she's abroad on hols so was trying to leave her alone) and speaking to her has calmed me quite a lot!
I'll keep you all informed.

If you don't mind me asking, have you had any more bleeding or has it just been a small amount of spotting.January Grocery 11/3740

Hi
Just wanted to say that if you are worried and didn't want to have to wait for an NHS scan then you can always call BUPA (or Spire as they are called now) and have a scan for about £100.
I lost a baby at 12 weeks about 4 years ago and so when I had exactly the same bleeding at 12 weeks with my next pregnancy I was up the walls with worry. I called BUPA and got a scan appointment for that morning and they confirmed that everything was 100% fine and that the bleeding was just one of those things that although worrying, is also quite common. I bled for about 5 days(ish) and then everything went on to be 100% fine.
I hope that you are feeling better and that you've had no more problems. It's natural to feel anxious of course, but please try and rest yourself and take things easy. xxx"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Hi Pollyanna,
First I would like to congratulate you on your pregnancy.
Second D O N T P A N I C.
It does happen. I had the same with my first two kids and tests didn't show I was pregnant with second until 3 month gone. I even was sent was the scan because GP was worried thats how I found out I was already 14 weeks gone.
It will be OK.
I am in the same situation as you are now. I have not a period since 4th of january and have done 3 test already and they were all negative.
I'm planning to have another one at the end of the month. We've been trying since early December and would realy like to have one more child (or twins - boy&girl would be lovely).
