just checking in to see how you are.

If you're ever down my way, we can always go down the quay for a bevvy or 2!

I'll share a little confession. In 1996 I had a second interview with a big company for a HUGE promotion. It was an enormous leap career wise (and salary wise). I knew I was down to the last 2 and had to go to their head offices in Tolworth for the interview.

I was terrified, even though I was happy with the work I'd prepared. I was very early so I went into the pub opposite the offices, planning to have a juice or something but I was shaking.

I'd just heard or seen something on TV a few days before about vodka not smelling on your breath.....so I had 2 vodka and limes to calm my nerves.......... I NEVER normally drink in the day!!!

I got the job too......... ;)

Caveat time - I don't recommend you doing this though!!!

    :rotfl:

Well I spent the 10 mins before my interview (was far to early) in the focus car park!! I think it went well but we shall see should hear by wednesday.

Feeling better again, but my best mate has plans for me and an America football team  :D:o:p Which should be entertaining if nothing else, but she also realises that I need some time on my own. I feel a bit werid about it all really, I know I should be sad that it has ended but at the same time I am looking forward to being myself and having some fun. We are arranging a girly night out next month and I just feel like I am going to be living again, which is something I've not felt for a long time.

I guess I feel guilty. And I have to go back to work tomorrow, I've had 4 days off and really want to stay in bed!!

I've not heard back about the job yet, but I know she was going away on business so I am hoping she hasn't had the time to offer it to me!! But we shall see.

I'll pop a nice update on my diary thread later.

    Have fun x
