Hey Lucy, I feel for you especially this morning being a Sunday. If he is treating you like dirt then youve done the right thing. It probably won't feel like it now, but you have to be cruel to be kind, you will feel out of your comfort zone and things will feel perculiar for a while because it will have been a way of life for you. SO many people stay trapped in a relationship because they are scared of what life would be like outside it. You only have one life and you should be allowed to enjoy every moment of it. If you aint got your happiness you aint got anything. Keep posting if you start to go downhill but fingers crossed you wont. Thinking of you Lenny xx

It does sound like you made the right decision, he didnt treat you how you deserve to be treated.

So sorry to hear you had to break up with your boyfriend.

But if you dont break up with him now, you wont be free/single for when Mr Right comes along. And you had to experience the last one to appreciate the next one!

Sorry if that sounds a bit strange, but I stayed with a bloke for four years, (even though I really didnt want to be with him for the last two) just because i couldnt find it in me to end it. But when I did I found out a bloke who I always fancied liked me too, and he is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Enjoy your weekends doing what you want to do, and whilst you are enjoying yourself you will find the man of your dreams.

Not only have you done yourself a favour, but you've probably also done a great favour to the next lady he dates, providing he can see how his behaviour contributed to the demise of your relationship, tell him why or write it in a letter to him, you never know, he might treat the next lady with the respect that YOU deserved while you were together!

Stick with cats! They're much less trouble.

A cat won't judge you
A cat is easily bought with a piece of chicken
A cat will snuggle on your knee
You don't mind so much when a cat goes chasing birds...but then again, blokes don't tend to rip the birds heads off and leave them on your doorstep as a present.

I think you have definately done the right thing for you...and thats what is most important. Each day will get easier and you may think that he's really really upset but deep down he might also feel that it was the best thing too. Look forward to the future, friends and your happiness
