    arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now I am going to have strip back on of my projects and start again as I seem to have smudged and put finger prints all over.

    Waste of time and paint.

Have to get some paint stripper and start again.

    Feel like giving up.

    Yours

Has anyone painted their house using the Farrow and Ball matt emulsion?

How does it compare to other matt paints?

I'm used to living with matt paint (which I love, the finish of it) so I know how it can be and just wondered how it compared for durability, ease of marking etc with other brands?
We keep the Farrow and Ball estate emulsion to the ceilings and plaster work.It doesn't seem to be as durable as some paints.I love Dulux real rooms paints. They give a great matt finish and are really scrubbable!!Great for kitchens and halls etc.Dulux Once is also hard wearing we have used that in the bedrooms. It really depends how much action your walls see. With 4 kids mine has to be really durable!!

I try to limit my visits to Dunelm to twice a year..........at sale time..........otherwise I spend a fortune.

When we moved into our last house the window in the living room was 12'0 x 12'0 I got Dunelm to make the curtains for me cost £350. I had them altered when we came here, they are looking a bit dirty now, so they will have to come down and go to the cleaners..............they are cream and mushroom in a CRM type design and I love them, have a load of the fabric in the loft, will have to get it down and see what I can do with it.

I might look and see if I can get a cheap set of curtains for the summer whilst I get the others cleaned. I might have a look on E bay and see what I can find.........................means I will have to take the pelmet rails down, but hey ho thats life.................
