Yvestown is written by Yvonne but her husband is just as into his decor aswell. He does most of the labouring I think ;) Molly Munchkin might be right about the male reference, by ebaybaby, being Freds blog www.fredsworld.wordpress.com .He is amazing. He loves Cath Kidston to the extreme and is always on the look out for vintage treasure. He got some lovely things in France not so long ago.He even quilts!!!

Oh lor................don't like my house any more now I've looked through those links..........................

    Think its time I got painting...........or something......anything...........!!
Got small cupboard with a drawer thats desparate for something...........and I've got the paint...........so no excuse.

    DITTO!!!

I have somethings i really like but others that just don't go - I think i am in too much of a hurry and money plays a role obviously in getting the look I want. I am also not well known for my patience:D

I have some ideas for crafts now but the children - especially the 9wk old - prevent this happening!

I've earmarked a shelf unit with drawers, a mirror, a chair and a table lamp to get the farrow and ball treatment.

I also want to start a blog - does anyone have a link to an extra 12 hours in the day!!!

    Thanks Elliidee :D

Did it work out a lot more expensive to use than say Dulux or something? Does it cover well? need several coats?

Although the paint is expensive, it goes a long, long way. There is no odour AT ALL, the paint is wonderful to use. I've painted living room, dining room, hall, stair, landing, kitchen, utility, downstairs loo - and am delighted with the subtlety/depth of colour.

So all in all a BIG vote for Farrow and Ball.

lol I love so many of these ideas. I'm so tempted to try the kitchen table plan that was on 1 of the blogs. mine would look fab painted at the bottom with a fitted table cloth, now where can I get a cheap stapler to do it. Oh & a nice wipe clean table cloth. I love the spots & have been dying to have a spotty kitchen lol.
    hugs

  • Thanks for adding the link I forgot guys :) manic day!

Best laid plans always go out of the window don't they!, I had decided to spend the day gathering all my craft items together and seeing what I could use up, this was not to be the case.

Phone call at 08:00 am from best friend to say her dh had just turned over in bed and told her it was all over :( I was so gutted for her! so I picked up her little one to give her some thinking space while another friend helped her pick up the pieces :(

So the day was spent doing kids things :)

So far I am 3 days into my 9 off with nothing achieved...........ho hum.
