At last I've started painting the flowers on Dads old tray he made.
They're supposed to be forget-me-nots............well they're blue anyway and so far look ok. I've done a cluster up one corner.........want to do smaller one at another corner and a few leaves...........
I decided to paint them myself and using my water colours........easier to mix the colours .............just hope they don't re-act to the varnish I put on when I've done..................lol

Is it aida fabric you're looking for? You could try ebay or
    www.sewandso.co.uk

Lots of other sites if you google for cross stitch kits.

    Hi

was thinking off all you shabby chicers yesterday. In home bargains coulby newham store, there had shabby chic trowels and forks for £1.29 each. There are white with pink flowers, really shabby looking!:D I nearly bought some, but I don't really do much gardening!

Ooh I want some! OH and I have just started doing the garden, well mainly him atm why I'm at work - he's currently digging out a path and a pond but I shall be in charge of flowers/plants once he's dug out my flower beds. The gardens about 80ft long though and maybe 25/30ft wide so it's taking time. He said he's going to get me one of them pink gardening sets for my birthday but I'd prefer these flowery ones!

  • Thank you Rosieben, I like to have a read every now and then, to see what shabby chic-ers are creating etc. If I had more time for creativity, I would get stuck into another project, but Pretty Practicals keeps me busy most of the time and any spare time I tend to spend with my husband and (grown-up) kids (when they aren't too busy with their friends!).
