Thats lovely, saw your floor cushion as well, may make a denimn one, what do you fill em with? I dont want to use those fibre balls as years ago there was a tragic accident round here involving a small child when a bean bag burst open. I could use scraps cut up I suppose. The fabric you have used is lovely so fresh looking, well done.

I just buy cheap cushion pads around £1.50 from wilkinsons or look out at boot sales :)

There is an amazing site called about.com it has pages for absolutely EVERYTHING you would want to know about - just put it in the search box. This is the 'shabby chic' part of the site.

Have been at the Rochester Sweeps festival this weekend and was camping at the local school. On the site was a tent that can only be described as shabby chic.......see what you think - http://vivwild.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/monday-5th-may/
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Hi all clever peeps, looking at that lovely painted furniture reminds me of a kit I bought years ago from a well known shopping channel. The lady was Donna Dewberry it came with a instruction video and all the paint and paint brushes. She made It look so easy, but I never got to grips with it ....

I remember watching her create complicated designs with just a wiggle of paint - fortunately DH manfully threw himself between me and the telephone so I didn't get suckered in again :o .

All his rugby skills were needed to keep me from blowing the budget every time a craft programme was on :D , as I was always convinced that this time I would get full use from the kit.

I never did though, and the £20+ worth of teabags folding papers (to make cards?), the barely started bead and sequin tree skirt , the 2 Henry VIII cross stitch kits etc etc are all hidden away for the 'one day' that never happens!

Just had to stop watching in the end - permanently!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

A question for all you ladies who have bought Linda Barkers "Just Junk" book....on the inside cover do you all have a piece glued in with Linda's signature on?
I bought a copy today from a charity shop for £1.50 and was suprised to see this when I got it home. So really chuffed.
    £2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.
