thanks everyone for the lovely comments :) Its almost as much fun posting them for you all to see as it is finishing them (i did say almost!) :rotfl:

Countrylover - I just sand the items down and give them a wipe over with a damp cloth to get rid of any dust. I havent used undercoat or primer yet on anything. The paints i have used are Craig & Rose Heritage paint in Pale Mortlake Cream and this last dresser was Laura Ashley Eau de Nil eggshell paint. I have to say though the Laura Ashley one was a dream to work with but the smell was really strong - the Craig & Rose barely had any smell. Wouldnt stop me working with the L.A. one again though as it really was a lovely paint to work with and dried really quickly!! Good luck and remember to show us before and after pics :D

    Hello all

I don't know if anyone lives in the Kenilworth/Warwick/Leamington Spa/Coventry area but the charity shops in Kenilworth are bursting with lots of gorgeous bits and pieces, materials etc - all very shabby chic friendly!! I was there this morning and my favourite was the Cats Protection shop!!
Hope this is a useful post!
