I've never actually bought a tablecloth but I have used pretty lace net curtains and single curtains (just remove the heading tape) or oddments of material found in charity shops. If you don't have a sewing machine you can buy iron-on hemming in Poundland.

I'm well chuffed went to Aldi and managed to pick up a pink bedspread and 2 pillow shams (the last 2)

    Plenty of bedspreads in Luton

I bought one as well but the packs of pillow shams are bugging me. I keep wondering what I could make with them as they are such good value!

Are they strong enough to use as a pretty shopping tote? (add handles for carrying and an inner pocket for a purse). A shabby chic (and eco friendly) shopper for shabby chic shopping!
