Hi Daisy,
I'm originally from Warrington and there used to be quite a few car boots locally, Have a look in the local paper they're usually advertised there. HTHOfficial DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

Midwife Twinkie, in answer to your question -

Alternatively a fabric cover with a roll up front - like the cover on a mini green house or a fabric wardrobe. You could choose a fabric to suit and roll down the front (velcro or ties to hold in place) when you had visitors.
I was going to do this with an ugly fake wood laminate bookcase as the sewing is really straight forward.
Unfortunately my bookcase fell to bits when we moved it so I de-cluttered it off to be recycled instead!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
My husband made me a gorgeous pine and hardwood welsh dresser with three shelves. The problem is that it's in our small sitting-room along with the oak dining table and oak bench and everything looks kind of, well, 'blokey'. At the moment I have some ceramics and a couple of teddy-bears on the shelves, and an old-fashioned type lamp on the table and I'm struggling to find truly money-saving ideas to make the room pretty and to soften the look.
I am wondering about house-plants but they would have to be hardy (Or plastic?) and the only plant I know that is both is the spider plant and they don't seem to sell them any more.
I would really appreciate your ideas.
Many thanks
