  • Thanks Vintagepleasure - I'm printing out your suggestions for more thought.

Wizzkid - thanks too, Yes he found the oak for the bench in a stream! I have thought about lifting carpet but it really is warmer with it down. We rarely buy any wood as most we pick up from beaches or out of skips. The oak for the table came from a skip! It's amazing what people throw out isn't it?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just bought up two chairs for revamping for £35! One is a little 'nursing' type chair and the other a wooden-armed easy chair. Got to collect the easy chair later as we didn't have room in the car for both, so I'll post some pictures tonight.

NEgirl & vintagepleasure - thanks for the ideas. I did think about framing one of each but I've got so many pictures on my walls already............
Wondered about adding them to a plain cushion but we've got a rather ancient cat who I'm sure would make aim for them
Cover for a notebook sounds possible................not sure how I'd do it..........pva glue do you think ?
I get the feeling OH would like them on show somewhere and as they're blue and the only 'blue room' is our bedroom which is blue and cream.
Loads of pictures in there already but there are two I've just thought of that my son did years ago, charcoal drawings............do look a bit out of place.
Ummmmmmmmmm............got me thinking now. Also got a couple of bedside cupboards ........wonder if they would fit on the door.......a sort of panel ???
Have to consult with OH with this lot I think. I know if I mentioned cushions on the bed he'd freak out...................lol

Maybe make them in to a wall hanging - have them all hanging in a line or a group?

That's an idea............there's two of each so I could either do one wall hanging with the two of them and chance stitching the other two onto a couple of cushions (keeping careful eye on cat!) ............ummm..........like that idea. Have to put that to OH and see what he reckons.

It's gorgeous but imagine all the dust that would get in the trellis bits!

Mind you, we do have a woodburner and dust you could write your name in on a daily basis :-(
