  • Awwww bless @ you two!

My daughter's partner moved out of their flat and she was feeling very upset. When she'd bucked up a little she went out and bought girly bits, things he'd always turned his nose up at! She has some pretty shoe and handbag pictures we downloaded from the net.

I love that house. I love everything in it and want to live there please.

BUT...where is the TV? I always wonder where houses like this put the TV when they have a photo shoot - don't tell me they don't have one!

Edit: Whoever posted that link - I love you and hate you at the same time! Love you because all the houses on there are just beautiful BUT I will now waste MORE time looking at them all!!!

Look at feb07 OMG all that dusting!!

Must admit most of those cottages are too OTT for my taste

I prefer the blogs i've seen from this side of the water

Diva it's a shop 'Pom Pom Interiors' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but yes someone has to dust it, Barbara Streisand shopped there and other celebs.

Can I ask for a bit of advice pleasewhich has really nothing to do with shabby chic, but is a restoration query? I have some Victorian dining chairs in various states of disrepair...think that there are either 10 or 12 in total and only 3 can be used as they have all fallen to bits...dowels loosened and popped. Would it be sacrilegious to put them together again using something like nomorenails...anyone I have asked has either said "throw them out and buy new" (DS3!) or "don't touch them yourself get a professional to do them" (DD4) Will not throw them out and am very nervous about looking for someone to restore them professionally as previous experience makes me think that there are lots of people who set themselves up as professionals and they don't do a good job for huge money.

So...should I just have a go myself...the ones which are really in bits will probably be beyond me, but if I could get six or eight nice mahogany chairs for general dining room use I would be quite happy and dead chuffed...what do you all think??

Marie I think I'd have a go myself, I've become wary of so called experts, go on have a go if you just want them to use yourself and are not intending to sell them.

Have a google and see if there's any advice and give us a pic when you're done.

Have a look at this cottage :eek::eek: I'd be sick if I lived there and my grand son would soon clear up some of the clutter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Marie - Maybe you could try getting a book out of the library about furniture restoration or something?

OMG!!!!!! I love it and hate it at the same time. Made me smile though, I'm imagining a Bette Davis lookalike living there with ringlets, like on Whatever happened to Baby Jane.
